They're nice and powerful. We used one on my springs and shocks when I had my old 6g accord. They work wonders. Just don't use them on oil nuts. They break things.

I've got one that I picked up from sears. It's kind of big and bulky, bu hey, it was $60 since it was a demo. Considering they don't get pluggedi n while on display I figured it was worth it.
What I like about it:
-Plenty of power for changing wheels with the ability to remove lug nuts while the car is off the ground
-Sounds about the same as an air driven tool when in use, but no compressor cycling.
-Single "toggle" trigger for both directions
-Cheap, even at $150 or whatever full price was it's still less than a compressor, hose and tool of similar quality
-Easy to store since there isn't a tank occupying a corner of my garage
Disadvantages:
-heavy
-only an impact wrench, as oppsed to a compressor which can run many different tools
-large size which makes using it in tigh spaces difficult
-lack of power. At ~200lb/ft, it's less than a really nice air driven impact wrench, closer to middle of the road, but still better than some cheapy ones I've used
Camppaign has a cordless 18v snap on impact that probably rules, but it's hella expensive. It think even with his discount it was $250.

cordless electric impact wrenches will do the job on just about anything, and makes changing wheels a snap! I wish I had one for track days.. :(
to many other priorities...
West I in all honesty did not know where to put this question the next time I have a question on tools I'll post it in chat sorry for the trouble.

I don't think mine could do lugnuts. I kinda wanted a 1/2" drive electric to do that, but didn't have $350.

I think a Cordless impact wrench that could do about 300-350ft/lb, and had an adjustable torque setting for tightening would be the SHIZZLE.. oh, and a speed sensitive trigger.. :D
