Recently I've been buying quite a few things in here, so I can finish my projects, or at least one. Just my luck got screwed by 3, yes, THREE scammers in here.

Some of you probably just laugh at me for being gullible and naive, but I thought I was being careful, using Paypal and checked their time of registration, which 2 of them signed on from last year or earlier. I've even bought parts from someone who just registered this year and had no problem.

But this last 3 scams happened to me just this past month alone. Wonder if there's a scam ring. Maybe some ppl are just registering names, and let them sit, to use a year later... Who knows. Just want to put their names out and wonder if anyone can recommend the admins in here, to start some sort of system to reduce scammers. Like list phone numbers or something, or local vouches...

I see you have found the Trader Rating system. Anything can be circumvented. We try to balance Free Trade and protecting our users. But, anything done online is "Caveat Emptor."

The only thing the mods can do is ban people.

This is a (mostly) free site, where admins/mods filter through FS threads and scammer reports to take down the jackasses.

Lots (not all) scammer reports end in the fact that they seller fucked up/forgot something, and it's resolved by the seller returning product/funds. Posting up addresses/phone numbers prematurely because you're pissed off will just lead to a bunch of jackasses on the internet calling someone and leaving hateful messages.

Shit happens. The marketplace is buyer beware, just like anything else. Paypal won't do shit, their resolution centre is a scam by itself. I've been scammed thru different forums, some I have gotten my stuff, and some I have lost. It fucking sucks, but thats one of the risks you take from buying on the interent thru anonymous people
