Ebrake cable question

So, I goofed up and bought R33 cables for my S13 I'm fitting with R32 GTr brakes. i didnt know that the R33 cable was for the S14... but now i am thinking that instead of re ordering some 2+2 cables i'm just going to take the R33 cables to a Specialist and get them to make a new cable that is longer. Why? because it will be done the same day, instead of taking two to three weeks in the mail (yes, shipping time to canada sucks and i'm impatient) Also, it will be relatively the same price as ordering another set.

I was curious to know if anyone could confirm the length i need to tell them to make the new brake cable, 49 inches is that right?

Other thing i was thinking is, how is the tension with the 2+2 cables in an S13? should i maybe tell them to make it 48 inches? i remember reading a thread, which i can't find again, that mentioned the cable was a little long and the ebrake doesn't lock until the very top, and the person's tensioner had been bottomed out. true or false?

Positively you should order the right part and be patient ;-)

Try a string method. Get some lengths of string, route the way the cables are routed, and measure the string. Viola! The length you need.
