I recently shelled out the big bones and got a new oem kouki lip for my jdm front bumper. However I am having second thoughts and leaning towards the ShineAuto lip, it really looks good with the kouki sides. My question is, should I just stay will the oem lip because it is made better and will not break as easily, or sell the oem and go with an aftermarket lip that looks better but may not last?? Anybody had regrets about cheaping out and buying the cheaper lip instead of just buying an oem one?? Also wondering the quality of the ShineAuto vs Oem, because the Oem Lip is really flemsy.

revised what i was trying to say
I had the shine auto lip. Fitament isn't guaranteed. I ended up cracking the lip over time due to tight fitament. It's also fiberglass as opposed to urethane (i'm assuming the oem lip is urethane) so the shine lip is prone to cracking during impact. The OEM lip most likely fit perfect, and will definitely last long over time and will take impacts much much better. As far as looks, that's up to you.

had both shine auto lip is trash does not flow with kouki sides at all sits lower than sides = sloppy stance..and "flimsy" as u call it is genuine polyurethane thats the best shit for your car money can buy..you should really read up on your shit when your comparing a trash frp lip againt a oem polyurethane lip.. u will need to drill holes for orm lip but in the end better fitment ..better flow w body..better chances of not getting stolen oppose to 2 mounts for shine auto lip

if you are gonna get a trust gracer or shineauto...sell me your oem!
i wanted to get a gracer lip, but i'd need to get better skirts than oem to pull it off right...

Gracer lip is my fav of all lips for kouki. OEM sides are recommended.
I dont like the OEM lip because you can barely notice it.

shine auto is a copy of the cwest lip.
I dislike the cwest or greddy due to the 2 grove near the middle, stock is still the cleanest.
personally if it's up to me I would make a urathene copy of the Crux lip.

there are no skirts that match the crux lip
it bolts to the bottom of the kouki bumper and hangs quite low
if u could somehow shrink it to wrap around the bottom of the lip instead of attaching underneath, it'd work much better

actually there are plenty of aftermarket sideskirts to match crux lip just most people not willing to pay.
I like the lip because of the under tray and aggressive look.
the stock lip is for the simple clean look, the crux lip is more of GT look, it's actually higher then S14 zenki with greddy lip.
you can order the factory lip anytime from any nissan dealer that carries jdm parts, it's just extremely expensive and there's no such thing as used cheap ones.

sam

Anyway I have decided to just go with the JDM kouki front bumper without the lip, and for everything to flow I am leaving off the rear oem valences as well. So basically i am going with a Q's model rather than a full on K's model
May just sell the lip and valences not sure yet
thanks for the input

it's currently sitting in my basement collecting dust. i heard that when i bought the car,
it was the only crux lip in the u.s., probably in north america.
sam? it used to be yours, is it true? only one?

ya Crux is not a big company in Japan and they don't do any advertising so in Japan is not known at all and here in the state I can only imagine worst.
it retails for 47,000 yen in Japan, after all the fees(shipping included) it would cost over $600(depend on shipping and exchange rate) so basically no one is going to buy one.
we got it brand new from a store that had it instock, due to the bad economy world wide a lot of store is closing so we got it at a good discount.
what's rare is the crux lip for the zenki navan aero(can you imagine how low that would be?)
they also make a lip for s13 silvia,180sx, and stock zenki s14 bumper.
cheers,
sam
PS: I would suggest URAS GT sideskirts and some rear valance with carbon diffuser to match that lip
