When I lived in Jersey City they had a Crown Fried Chicken a little from my old house. The place was HOOD as hell but they knew how to cook chicken and BBQ ribs. It was robbed for CHICKEN rather than money one time. I've since moved to another town and they just recently opened a Crown a couple miles from my house. I am a VERY happy camper.

Theres actually alot that makes a difference in the taste. Quality of chicken that is ordered how it's seasoned... Mostly its up to the person cooking it.
If the chicken is greasy it's usually because where it's being held before cooking is too warm or the batter is too warm. This causes a weakness in the heat barrier when its dropped in the fryer, which lets an excess amount of grease seep into and under the crispy layer...
So stop eating there, you'll get sick.

Roscoe's ain't exactly fast food, but it's pretty solid fried chicken (at least as far as socal goes).
I like the Pico branch, but hate the West Hollywood branch.
Can never get a seat there without waiting an hour.

'Lord Harvey' is what i get all the time.
1/2 chicken w/ gravy, grits, & biscuit.
always order an extra thigh or two.
not a fan of waffles/gauffres.

Pollo Campanero is another chain I recommend.
They serve broasted chicken at a reasonable price.
I think that chain began in either Salvador or China.

Yeah its really gross, that is how it is here... I have tried to go at different times of the day too... Hoping it will be busy and the chicken will be fresh.. But nope its the same old chicken :squint:
