Tried using intake cleaner down the hose for my AICV once to fix fluctuating idle. Turned out that wasn't the problem..but for some reason since the cleaning I've thrown code 25. It keeps coming back despite, me doing two additional cleanings. I'm at the point where I think I just need to get another one? I gotta do something cause I want to stop throwing codes for once and my car runs like it's suppose to. Only thing I noticed is sometimes at a light the tach will stay at 1k for about 3 secs, and then drop to like 700 something I guess. Sometimes the tach needle looks twitchy at idle too...very small movement up and down. Then other times dead steady near like 1k.

I know it could be my e-fan cutting on and off sometimes.

Any suggestions on what move I should make. Also I got a code 35 for exhaust temp sensor or I guess it's also called egr temp sensor. As long as my egr is working..if it's the sensor that's not..should I just use a resistor on it. From what I read doesn't seem like it actually does anything fuel or ignition related, but just tell if egr changes intake temps.

Appreciate any info on getting rid of this 2 codes..only 2 I have issue with

Just checkin back in..don't wanna buy a new AICV if that might not be the problem. If I have to, oh well. Thanks

the code ur talking about, aicv, im guessing is idle air control valve. im also assuming u have a ka24. iacv goes bad all the time on those, just get a new one. as for the egr im not sure, but it shouldnt affect drivability.

Yeah your right about the valve being the part in question, and yes KA motor. Yeah neither one seems to affect drivability..I'm just wondering if I'm in limp mode since both trigger check engine light. But I don't have stalling or rough driving. The idle does seem a lil off sometimes since I've got the AICV code..but not enough to affect drivability..I just notice the tach not being where it seems it should be at times.
