Yes im sure this post has been up many a time, but im lookin for some decent rims. I have some nice AR Rims on thier, hard as a rock, i love em, but i need some diffrent ones in the back, im thinking meshes. I know junkyards have meshes, and i know they came on the datsun, and i know they fit my car. Here are the cars i have put together that have meshes stock that fit the 240
-240-280zx Mesh wheels, rarly 15s
-200sx Mesh wheels, no very big lip, not to bad, kinda skinny
thats all i really know, i was thinking 300zx but their 5 bolt, what else would you recomend.
AND YES I SEARCH, all i found was posts about ppl asking the same thing as me, but you guys just telling them to search, or the 2 cars i posted above.

The Z cars don't come with mesh wheels stock. The ones people are finding on Zs in junkyards are aftermarket, usually Enkei or Riken.
Basically any 4-lug, RWD Nissan or Toyota will work, as will the FB and FC RX-7. Any of these cars are likely to have old aftermarket meshes.

Some FB RX7's were 4x108. Not sure if there are 4x114 rx7's or not.

like I said... except for the S12's crappy wheels none of those mesh wheels are stock! They're all aftermarket from the '80s.
Any 4-lug RWD Toyota might have them. Supras, Celicas, Cressidas, Corollas, Carinas, Coronas... errr, except the MR2, they're 4x100.
FC 4-lug is 4x114... but he's right about the FB, apologies... only the '84-'85 GSL-SE was 4x114, others were 4x110.

i've come across several turbo S12's with enkei meshies. They arent stock of course, but its sort of a trend that i see in the junkyard pretty often. So keep an eye out for those.

something I noticed was a lot of Crown Vics rolling around on stock mesh.. Have a pretty big lip on them too.. Maybe they are a feasible option? I would think they would be fairly wide.. like 7-7.5

There are ton of USDM mesh wheels in 5x114. Some of them even look quite nice.

1997-2001 ford crown victoria/1997-2001 mercury grand marqui wheels. Very nice. 5x114.3. in 16x7
Nice mesh wheel if you've done the 5-lug conversion on your s13 and cant find any other 5 lug mesh. Take off that ugly center cap and you're good to go. These would look sweet with the mesh painted black or gold :D

yea those are factory BBS wheels, their nice, but right now i lack the funds to do the 5 lug swap, if i had the money i would do it. But also if I had the money i would get FREAKING LSD. Sorry had to vent.
Thanks for the info though ppl.
Anymore info would be apreaciated

I've seen Mustangs (Fox-body) with Enkei meshies on 'em in yards before. They are also 4x114.3, so they'll work.

fox mustangs are 4x100, their are ones with ARE or Enkeis with 4 bolt uni, but other than that, no 4x100.
And are you guys sure that those wheels up their from the ford are 5x114.3

i think any mustangs from 82 and up might fit, as long as they're 4 lug i think they're 4x114. you might be able to find some w/a decent size lip. if you go to a junk yard that lets you pick your own part, you might find a 240 so you can test fit whatever wheels you find.

i have s14 base model mesh(like) rims on powdercoated black. they're alright but i really wanna get some nice 16x8's with a badass lip i'll prolly get my cousin to get some from a junkyard in japan. easy to find over there if u have someone to source them.

I know that my brother has a 90 4 cyl mustang ang the rims on it are most defintely NOT 4x100, a bit larger. Don't know if they share a bolt pattern with the 240 or not though.

I'm 110% sure Fox-body 'stangs are 4x114.3.

You're both wrong. Fox body stangs are 4x4.25in.

yeah I think that sounds familiar.
I was thinking the fox bodies didn't share the popular import sizes.

But I believe 4x4.25in. is indeed 4x114.3mm. A set of Hayashi wheels I was looking at were 4.25, and they fit S13's.
Edit: conversion chart says it 108mm. But that doesn't make sense... Maybe its measured differently? I know they fit.

Ford 4-lug wheels DO NOT FIT! They are indeed 4x108 (4.25").

no, do the math, 114.3mm is 4.5in

there is a guy on this board with a fox body hatch back and a 240... his stang is lx, so those were 4 lug.
somebody find him and ask him to swap wheels.

im almost posotive that their not 4x114.3 because, my friend had an 87 and an 86 stang GT, and they were 4x100 or around their i think, odd.

mazda FB= 4x110
mazda FB GSL-SE= 4x114.3
mazda FC= 4x114.3
Mustangs/Escorts= 4x108
**ANY Ford Mustang 4-lug WILL NOT fit your 240sx!!!!!!**Any FORD for that matter.
chokudori-I use to have a set of Hayashi mesh off an Escort GT(same pattern as Mustang) and they will not fit the 240SX, Takumi 86, or any other Initial D car.
If you guys don't believe me, go to your nearest junkyard and test-fit wheels.

I would assume they would fit. My wheels came off a 260Z (or was it a 280Z...). I guess I imagined the whole Mustang thing. Good thing I didn't grab those Enkei's in the yard to use as track wheels :p.
to clear any confusion up...
there is no such thing as an "FB" ... the 1st gen RX7 is an SA22C chassis, so it's an "SA". Many ppl incorrectly call it an FB, as they assume that since 3 gen was FD and 2nd gen was FC, that 1st gen must be FB... but... no. :) They're SA.
Just clearing that up.

Adey-Technically, you're right...but I always refer to them as the FB, dunno why. SA22 just sounds too wierd:-p
You guys can also look for wheels on the Nissan LE minivans from the 80s. Theyre bolt pattern is 4x114.3 and sometimes come with some nice riken/enkie mesh. Just giving a heads-up

Just clearing that up. Yes and no. There are FBs. 79-80 was SA, 81-85 was FB.

Yeah, all the guy told me was: "I do know that they are 15" across and the back rims are fatter than the
front and that they are for 240z."
Lot of great info there
Also, FC convertables had 15" BBS mesh wheels. I don't know if they were standard, optional or aftermarket, but I've seen a lot of them.

Clean - ask the guy if he can measure with a tape measure the distance between to diagonal lug nut holes..
should be 4.5" .. if they are they will work on your car most likely.
