A well kept stock s13 is a nice daily. Especially if it's one with all the options.

Though it might give you the itch to modify it as well. Should probably get a newer model camry, corolla, or civic 4dr.

Look into an Infiniti Sedan.

J30, Q45, I30, etc.

They are pretty cheap.

Mini Cooper would be nice too if you get a good deal on a used one. They're great little cars with above average MPG.

^ hahahah yeah were is he? maybe he finally sold it.......poor guy saw it on every "car for sale" thread trying to trade it.

Anyways you cant go wrong with a 4 door civic, I think you can find a decent one with low miles for a good price.

I'm in a similar situation myself.
I also have a S14 with far too stiff suspension for comfortable daily use (or even casual autoX for that matter)
Only I'm going to try getting softer springs first before resorting to getting another car in addition.
Softer suspension isn't necessarily a bad thing, as long it's set up in accordance to your driving style and preferences.

With Beaters,

common factors to consider:
-cost to purchase/finance/lease
-cost to insure
-mpg
-risk of getting stolen
-fun to drive.

Used to daily drive a CRX Si and it was my fav beater of all time.
cheap to buy, cheap to insure, cheap on gas, cheap on parts, and lots fun to drive stock.
I didn't live/work in a place that was prone to theft, so it was ok for the most part.
after i sold to some lady who lived in a part of town with more theft, it was stolen in less a moth.

2nd place was a 08 civic Si sedan.
fun car, but kinda expensive to finance.
put 5k down on that car, and had to finance for 370 @ 5%-ish APR for 60 months
eventually crashed the poor car out of foolishness.

Right now, wouldn't mind leasing a 135 for 360/month.
unfortunately, my credit is trashed.

Excellent points.

I am looking at car with good MPG but everything is overpriced. Seems to be no deals on cars right now. The dealers are like, people are only buying if they have to so lets rape them for all we can.

Come again? A lot of incentives for American cars right now if you're looking to buy new. Hell, look for a Pontiac LOL. Even the Japanese automakers are feeling the heat, so you could probably still pick up 08 inventory at a bargain. If anything, it's still a buyer's market. So many broken dreams up there for you to pick up the pieces.

I have one for winter.

The thing is incredible. 300,000 kilometers and it still runs perfect. Only thing I've changed in the last year and a half was brakes and the front main seal.

When the main seal went I drove the car around with literally no oil. The valvetrain started getting really noisy so I topped up the oil. Same thing for like a week... and I drive A LOT.

I don't think a EVO X qualifies as MPG friendly.

I was looking at a Camry Hybrid with a sticker of $26k and the sales guy said he could let me have it for $31k. There was a fully loaded one for $30k that they wanted $36k for. I told him to go fuck himself.

VW dealership wanted sticker for their Jetta TDI's. But could cut me a deal on a 2.5L Golf. Less so on a GTI.

But, I was talking used. They seem to be listing stuff for much higher then it's worth. I think I may have to grow even bigger balls to offer them 2/3rds to half what they want for these cars. I guess it's time to break out the blue book and bust some balls.

LOL of course hybrids and whatever can be classified as "green" will be marked up. Those are fucking image cars. Definitely go for some POS 1.6L if you're that hard up for gas.

I wouldn't mind an american car honestly like i've considered getting either the new camaro, mustang gt or the challenger. But i mean if i get those its gonna be later i just need something to drive now.
