300zx front end convertion on a s14

Has this been done? z32 300zx front end on a 240sx.

I know you definitely need to widen the rear to match. But it couldn't be much harder than all the other convertions.

The s14 is 68 in. wide stock and the 300zx is only 70.5 in.

I'm leaning towards the view of the majority here. It wouldn't work too well. The front it just too wide and even if you did the wide body rear panels it would leave this massive dip where the doors are. Plus, converting the fenders to go onto the body will leave a weird angle affect if I'm not mistaken. Personally, if you want a front end conversion on an S14 zenki, try either a kouki or a S15 front end conversion. The body lines would match up perfect and it's a proven to look damn fine. But it's your car dude, you paid for it and it's your money going into it. At the end of the day, your car is there for you to enjoy. Do with it what you will. Just make sure that if you are planning to do this, that you plan out everything exactly. Or you'll end up with a lot of parts you can't use and some wasted money that could've gone to better use. But that's my two cents.

chassis are different, 300zx is def wider, which would mean either cutting down the hood and front bumper, or some oversized wheels...that will be wider that the rears...

body line would not mesh, simply put, no matter how much work u would put into it, yes the quality of work would be impresive to do it right, and u would get praise for taking the time, overall the wow factor would go straight to the shitter.

Don't do it... for that matter I'm really not a fan of the s15 faced s14/s13's. Say what you will, they DON'T match; I mean they really don't. Sure you can make it look close but don't lie to yourself, its not right, it always looks just a little off. Automotive design is a very well respected talent and demanding position to maintain. These half ass attempts to combine 2 completed projects (ex. here would be the s14 and Z32) are just a spit in the face to the original designers. Any one who will look at it completed, will find themselves focusing on the features most evident,and usually obvious, in where you failed to "blend" the two unlike objects. Just stop, why not focus on something that is important? What use could you have for this? Do you just need to be the guy who does something different? Do you just need the satisfaction of others? NICE! You already have the cars, so this is all you need to do, it is easier than you may think...

Step1. Take your 300 and park it on the street. Make sure to apply the e-brake, we don't want this baby going anywhere.

Step2. Fire up the s14 and take it out on to the street drive in the opposite direction of your 300zx (you will want to get about 1/2mile spasce between the two)

Step3. Accelerate towards the rear end of the 300. Make sure you keep it pinned, you want as much speed as you can get.

Step4. Drive into the rear of the 300 with your s14. You have now succesfully created your 240sx to 300zx convertion?? AND it's got a VG30. SWEET!

Seriously though, why would you want to do this? The lines of a 300zx and s14 do not work together. Even if you do it, and do it cleanly, it is going to look like shit no matter what because the lines won't work together.

But if you really want to do it then do it. Who cares. They are your cars. You will be the one kicking yourself in the end because there is a big lump of shit sitting on your driveway, while everyone else points and laughs.

I have looked into it a little more and you guys are right. The body lines wouldn't line up, you would have to cut the fenders into pieces and it would still need some fiberglass work done. Bumper and hood would need to be cut to the right width and you know that something would have to be done to the core support. To much work for negative results! Thanks for the advice.
