Absolute lowest I can go. This is cheaper than sounddomain, crutchfield, even e-gay.

Specs from crutchfield:

"Revs" — that's what Pioneer calls their full throttle TS-D Series car speakers. The name reflects a commitment to the aggressive styling and pinned-to-the-red-line prowess you'd find in a decked out performance car.

The TS-D690R 6"x9" speakers are outfitted with premium materials — their heavy-duty Aramid fiber composite woofer cones are lightweight and extremely rigid. The cones are modeled after Pioneer's PRS Series speakers (winners in the 2000 IASCA S/Q Finals), and they move big bass with low distortion, even when your system is firing on all cylinders.

The tweeter lens sports molded "wave guides" that improve the high-frequency dispersion pattern for excellent sweet spot imaging. Laminated polyester fiber soft dome tweeters put out crystalline highs, while a built-in rear damping chamber extends midrange response for further refined detail.

The TS-D690Rs are so efficient that you can drive them with the amplifier in a high-powered, in-dash receiver, but their excellent power handling makes an outboard amplifier the ideal power source for these stunning speakers.
Key Features:

* 1/1/8" laminated polyester fiber dome tweeter
* Aramid fiber composite woofer
* durable butyl rubber surround
* frequency response 25-32,000 Hz
* recommended power range 2-80 watts RMS
* peak power handling 330 watts
* sensitivity 92 dB
* top-mount depth 3-5/8"

you would have to modify the mount, in the rear i believe for s14s it was a 6.5"

Umm one question, for modifying them to fit s13 front door panels, woould they fit behind the stock grill? And what products do you need to create a new mount. I remember hearing something about 1/4" something or other but don't remember.

If they fit behind the door panels and you accept paypal, I'll buy em.

One more question, have you ever used them, if so how is the bass on them without a sub? I would really prefer to not buy a sub but looking for a lot better bass than stock.

1/4"MDF or particle board is fine. I would go with MDF. These will fit behind the stock speaker grill (of course depending on what size MDF you use) but the bigger problem may be getting the windows to clear. I would much rather put these in back on the hatch cover and go with a 6.5 or 5.25 up front, or even just a good pair of 4x6s.

To make a new mount you would need the MDF, a drill and some kind of saw (jigsaw)

These will give you alot of extra bass compared to stock, and if you arent looking to buy a sub, most would recommend 6x9s to pick up the bass your smaller front stage cant handle.

What I would do is see other peoples setups with 6x9s up front in s13, find out the mounting depth of their 6x9s and compare with the depth of this model (3 and 5/8):eek:

through searching on here didn't find much info. But over on SXOC there are a few peeps running 6x9s in front and they clear the window. I'll probably make a post to find out some of that info.

Still haven't answered the part about PayPal.

I take paypal. Just remember when asking about their mounting depths to also find out what size MDF they used, because that is very important, but I am sure you understand how it is gonna work.

As long as the speakers fit in the hole where the speaker grill is, I should be good. Cuz I could just remove speaker grill and mount them up to the door panel with some thick MDF. About how long do you think it will take to ship (to illinois)?
