there is NO carshow, that was driftshowoff (march 2nd)
Festival will feature a spectator oriented event with a drift competition with practice and exhibition runs throughout the day. The venue will also place various vendors and manufacturers to feature some of the latest products for the automotive industry.
Major sponsors for this event are Yokohama Tire, Enkei, Kaaz, X-S Engineering, with support from Alpine Electronics USA, Red Line Oil. The operations and planning will be performed by DRIFT Association and Mainstream Productions.
Feature performances will include demonstration driving and coaching by Orido Manabu, a well known driver in the JGTC and various motorsports field, in RS-R’s own Toyota Supra and Nissan 350Z. We are planning to have a few more demo drivers from Japan as well as here in the USA... and list will be updated accordingly.
Competition will be from 40 entries from western United States in a 3 step elimination process, held in a special course designed by Club4AG Drift Association. The course will feature the first D1 Class drifting course with speeds approaching 70 mph and will layout inside of Irwindale’s ½ mile oval track.
Up to 70 drivers will be permitted into the event with a $95 or $80 entry fee. Each driver will have about 3 hours of practice time and 40 of them will be pre-assigned for eligibility into the competition rounds for prizes and trophies. (see schedule of entry drivers)
The spectator’s will have access into the paddock area, venue festivity area and also the main grandstands which will have a seating accommodation for 6500 guests. Projected guest number will be about 2500 ~ 3500 for this event with maximum capacity of 5000. Gusts will have access to the competition course and selected paddock areas and have a chance to be up close to the action and featured cars.

yeah, there WAS a car show planned. It was supposed to be organized by an outside group (don't remember the name since i didn't bother to give a damn at the time). They had it in the event discription a while back on the club4ag site, i remember because when i first saw it's addition i was like WTF? but it probably never materialize or there weren't enough inquaries/registration. Thank god.
fleaf: i think there were a limited # of vendors preselling tickets. However, they probably stopped preselling them, you can still buy tickets at the door.

u can buy tickets at the door for $10. u can also buy presale tickets from selected vendors throughout the SoCal area. it's the same price, but u get a free T-shirt and FREE STUFF OWNZ!!!
they might not be doing pre-sale anymore, since it's the day before the event, but it doesn't hurt to check. i kno that Progressive in Westwood has a plentiful supply of tickets left.
