1995 240SX SE with a 5 speed. The car was a 200,000 mile car from Florida that at some point (around 100,000) took a right front corner hit. It didn't touch the radiator mounts. It was repaired a few years ago. Both lights are yellowed the same amount, so headlight wasn't touched either. Actually it's hard to see what was really done to it, everything is straight. Fender was replaced and resprayed and at the same time, a body kit was applied (which I have since deleted and tossed out). Car is intact, and it was running when I got it, but the KA is literally on it's last legs and now that I've drained some fluids, had the radiator out, etc. it probably won't run again. Transmission feels great. 300ZX front brakes, Apexi exhaust, air conditioning, all the SE goods (power mirrors, white guages, etc.) Car has no bumpers but I have the front turn lenses that go in it. Stock SE rims, good tires.
Back seat/panels were pulled out (by me) but I have everything but the front seats and seatbelts. I left the carpet/dash in the car with the intention of bolting in a simple roll bar in it and then a couple racing seats with harnesses. The disassembled interior pieces are present and accounted for. I still have the back seat and all the door panels and whatnot. The interior was a little bit 'I'm a 200,000 mile 240sx from a hot climate' odor. It's all there, but if you're looking for a restoration/mint 240 it's probably not the best project base due to interior wear. The chassis is an ideal project chassis though because it spent it's whole life in Georgia and Florida and was never street driven here in MI where the salt eats our vehicles.
Trunk is stripped out, but all boxed. It's like 50lbs of weight back there, I'd skip it. But everything including the power antenna is there if you want. No harnesses were cut at all, just disconnected. The car had no stereo in it when I received it.
I am putting the pieces back on the car in the meantime a few at a time. I did not find any surprises under the panels.
Motor came out of a local drift car. Seriously built motor/trans/wiring harness/computer. Outside of the intercooler, it's a complete setup. JE Pistons, eagle rods, quality machine work. It came from a S13 chassis so the harnesses is supposed to need very minor modifications to be put into this car. The motor is a S13 redtop without the hump and VVT that the S14/S15 engines have and seems to be the run well off the stock included ECU. He ripped the strut tower off his S13 frame running it as it was a somewhat distressed frame, and then parted out the car to build something else. It's very low mile after rebuild. The turbo is a fresh rebuild at the time of the motor build. Bottom was built for later project work. Previous owner estimates 250HP as is -- it was very strong when he ran it (very briefly) in the S13 before the frame went.
$4,200/obo takes it all and you're on your way to having a nice car. I wish my heart was in it but I'm just too busy with other things.
My preference on sale is with a buyer who can take the lot or a pair of buyers who will take both. Want just the motor or just the car? Let me know, I'd be glad to work with you.
