Turbo update at random, with a vid!!

So, it's been like a week or so since I've swapped engines and crap. As some of you know, I blew up my old freak motor (142.6rwhp on a stock engine w/ no bolt ons even) and recently replaced it with a much lower mileage one.

Well, since I've added an intercooler and redone the intake piping since then, and added enough stopping power (Q45 brakes) to be able to use all the new power safely, I went out today to romp at 7psi.

A quick 0 - 60 run lasted for about 5.5 seconds. 5.35 is about right, judging from the frame by frame on the video:

So, I called up my friend and started talking trash about his WRX and it's 5.9 0 - 60 that he always brags about :P. Can't wait to see how the cars match up head to head. I'm HOPING to get vids of the car in action from the outside this weekend at the AutoX.... so.... i'll update then.

But, "low" 5 second 0 - 60.... not too bad, huh?

yup. gonna be SM with the big brakes and the turbo. Need to get some rear swaybar bushings tomorrow, and next week AGX's for the rear.

I can't tell from the vid when you launched, there's no tire screetching or anything.

WG actuator is still hitting the hood i think.... or it might just be something loose in the car.

i hope that's not pinging....

anyways, i was able to check when the car launches by doing a frame by frame. It's last at 0mph at 2.55 seconds.

Many compliments on the 0-60 pj, your car is pretty fun to ride in, i have come to like the s14 almost as much as my s13 :p Anyways, love the brakes to, it is amazing to see how good your car runs considering all you needed was injectors and some strong thinking :D It is incredible if ya ask me.
