I see a lot of threads asking tire stretch questions so I think this will be useful to those of you choosing tires who havent seen this yet.

you can use this tyre stretch calculator from TyreStretch.com - Image Library (http://www.tyrestretch.com) & Welcome to Wheel Whores (http://wheel-whores.com/)

it will calculate your speed, ride height and angle of the sidewall.

pretty neat!

it would be better if it gave est on wheel rates, and side deflection.

The only catch is that not every tire are the same. Some tires doesnt like to stretch, and not every company's sizings are the same. 225/40 18 for a Nitto NT05 will not be the same size as 224/40 18 Falken Azenis RT615s. Something for people to consider.

that is cool, but it would be nice if it was a little more accurate. i've got 16x8 with 225s and it's showing them angled out like there's a bulge. in reality, it's not what i would call a stretch, but if anything, it's angled in, not out. it looks like they assume an 8" wheel is 8" across, which it's not. with the lips, it's more like 9".

to make it a little more accurate i changed the calculations worksheet a little.

changed C20 from "=Calculator!C16*C38" to "=Calculator!C16*C38+25.4"
and G20 from "=Calculator!I16*C38" to "=Calculator!I16*C38+25.4"

i'd like to change the limits on the graph to mimic the limits of an s14 but i can't figure out how the chart is built. any ideas?
