Polishing the plastic headlights s14?

Whadup guys, I was wonder what to use to polish the stock 95-96s14 headlights. Their pretty grey lookin and a little faded from the sun. Or should I just take them to a shop to do a cleaner job...Just want umm to match my side markers...thanks

u know what... I just did mines on a friends recommendation. He told me get sandpaper...1000, 1500, and 2000 grit also some Meguire's swirl remover. Get a bucket with water, dip the 1000 grit in the water and go side to side (don't pussy foot it!), as you wet the sandpaper again, you'll notice the brown substance coming off the lamps. Repeat for about 5mins, with the 1500 and then with the 2000. While rubbing the lenses with the sandpaper, also through some water from the bucket and wipe away some of the sut coming off the lamps. Once that's done, get the swirl remover and in the same side to side motion you use the sandpaper in, rub it in with a damp cloth. Let it sit for a couple of minutes and wipe of in the same side to side motion . And bingo, crystal clean headlamps.
