SoCal: OEM S13 Battery tie-down

Anybody have it? Complete with the screws, car never had it.

Local only, no ship, preferably inland empire or nearby.

Is the battery cover (24431) really necessary?
Where does the (towards the front of the car)-side of the tie down connect to? I tried a universal one from autozone and it wouldnt fit in the space between the light and the battery.

It would help if someone has a pic of what the tie down setup should look like.

just go to auto zone! its not oem but it will fit fine!

Their tie down doesn't fit man, I tried it, it's too fat and there's no place to connect the rod, on the side where the battery meets the headlight.

what battery are you using? i am currently using a miata battery with an autozone batt. tie down! my battery is currently facing the other way though. both postive and negative terminal are facing inside the engine bay. if you're looking at the engine bay both neg. and positive are facing to the right (vertical) not sure if you get my explanation or not lol! i think you cannot run it like the pic you have posted. if you are running a sr with a front mount intercooler!

hmm, well I'm running some duralast battery, but my tray is what seems weird to me. It only has a hole for a hook for the tie down towards the rear (top of the pic) of the car , but none towards the (bottom of the pic) front.

I think the OEM setup is supposed to hook into the hole at the bottom of the tray for the rear, and the hole up by the pop up headlight for the front...
