heh, they're just early '89 KA24E replacement pistons. Not a bad deal on them though. But... 32hp... riiiight

well, I -can- get those pistons for free. then get them heattreated if I got bored.
you'd be lucky to get ~5% horsepower increase to the wheels. plus you'll have to run ignition timing retard and premium gas.
Sorry man, I like my regular since it's so damn cheap. 2.05/gal woo.

87 is 1.55 in WV, but anywho...
**** I have an early 89 ka24e.
so If I wanted to build up a hot NA ka24de my pistons would be cool?
or if I blow my engine, I can sell my pistons on ebay as 200 hp ka24de pistons?
awesome.

yeah, you can, but just be sure you clean up them pistons and spit n polish'em up all nice and shiny.
;P
anyway, early 89 240sx's came w/ high comp 9.5:1(i think) pistons.
slightly dome shaped, these would give you 11.6:1 inside a ka24de.
with the later half '89's and all of the 90's. the pistons are 8.5:1 comp ratio.
in a ka24de, you'll get 11.1:1. I've read of people on FA using the 11.1:1 and not requiring anything else than 91 octane gas-o-crap.
so yea. if you use 11.6:1 you might be in for some detonation and at least some bit of ignition retarrrrrrrrd.
