I had my 2 way kaaz unit installed into the pumpkin by a professional shop. So im hoping it shimmed correctly. My problems is this when going down the road in straight line say ill be in 5th gear turning only 2.5 3k rpms just cruising. I give it gas and i hear alot of clunking just like when youd have a 2way going around a corner. Is this a normal thing, i know going around a corner and having it clunk is but going in a straight line?

That's not normal - at least I've never had that happen unless I'm purposefully shifting in a manner to lock up the rear wheels.
What fluid are you running?

A professional shop do mess up sometimes, not always, but it wouldn't hurt to do a quality check. Check their work. Visually check for anything wrong, turn the drive shaft/wheel to make sure everything turns freely, and check whatever they had to remove or work on. good luck.

im using the supplied Kaaz diff fluid. I did the break in correctly or atleast i think i did. I did the figure 8 for 30 mins. Could it be because im at low RPMS? Other drivetrain mods include, 1 piece alum drive shaft, soild subframe bushings, ksport coils, every adjustable suspension piece. but i can definately hear the clunking from the diff inside the cabin.

Did you change the fluid after the break in? I am pretty sure you're supposed to.....but that wouldn't cause any clunking.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong about this, but if it's clunking doesn't that mean it is slipping? It shouldn't be slipping when you give it gas. What happens if you snatch second and slide for a little bit then drive straight?

Take it back to the shop that installed it for you.
if they are a reputable shop and want customers they will either fix it for you or tell you how you can

mine doesn't do that.. i would definitely bring it back to the shop or change fluid and see what comes out. kaaz takes nonsynthetic gl5 fluid so its not THAT much to change.

dude i had this same problem (well i wouldn't call it a problem) with my kaaz 2 way. it was installed by a reputable shop too. even though you went and broke it in like they said, its still not completely broken in. give it about a week or so and that clunking will start to go away, but not completely. the reason mine was clunking on the freeway is cause the tire pressure of the rears were not the same. the lsd is very sensitive so since both output shafts want to travel at the same speed but the tires are different sizes it clunks. but mine was even worse lol. mine would be clunking and swaying me to the side. then i clutch kick to try and get rid of it, and it would then swing the other way. probably to the other drivers looked like i was drunk driving.

hey markapple0507 mine kinda does that too, i thought maybe i needed an alignment but when i give it gas the whole rear end wants to sway to the right. im going to get some nonsynthetic gl5 and change the fluid.
What do you guys think if i tired doing another break in?

I had the swaying problem with my old kazz 2-way. The prob was that I had two different brand tires. The diff is very sensitive, when I went with the same brand tires, it fixed my problem.

I went out tonight and adjusted the PSI to the same each side, Im running same brand tires and size. Maybe it just needs an alignment....

its not an alignment issue cause then it would always be tracking to the side. like 95ka-turbo said, did you change the fluid after you did the break-in .because once you do the break-in there are shavings in the oil and must be taken out. if it still does it after this, then you might what to take it back to the shop

hey ya i would say to replace the oil. but i would say try and stick to the kaaz diff oil. that's what i was told just letting you. try the kaaz oil and if it still clunks try adding some modifier (oil) and that should take care of it

my 1.5 did the same thing for a little while it was cuz my tires were worn un evenly, might want to check that. the fluid will prolly help a lot, mine got a bit quiet after i changed mine.
