Ok I am new to the 240 seen and I have use the search and I cant seem to find what I am looking for. I bought a 98 and it does not stop like i want. the pads look good but I still hear that sqeek / filing sound when stopping. I want to use the car for most day to day driving. I see a lot of members upgrade to 300z but
1.how easy / costily is that? and is it a direct bolt on?
2.or should I just buy a set of axxis pads and replace what ever the previous owner has on stock rotors.
3.I like the 300z setup but I am not sure if my stock rims will clear them and if not what spacers do I need.
4. if i do go with the 300z setup where do I buy parts from and what year 300z parts do I use?

Thanks for your input the car is bone stock, I want to start with the brakes since it stop like shit.

Z brakes will clear stock S14 rims......try resurfacing the rotors and make sure the shims are lubed up with anti-squeak lube try PBR brakes

You need to do A LOT more reading, not creating threads.

There is so much excellent information out there concerning Brake Set-ups, that just making a thread to be fed answers, comes off as lazy. I'm going to close this before it gets ugly.
