I looked and no one had done it so i figured i would. Its not that difficult of a project to do and as far as skill level im going to rank it as a 1 out of 5.

Things you will need:
1: Jack
2: jack stands
3: Allen keys in sizes 4mm and 5mm ( or in my case allen key sockets)
4: Box end wrench 13mm

Open the box from PBM and you should have the skid plate:

you should also have 2 short 4mm allen key bolts 2 fatter 5mm allen key bolts with nuts to match. 2 large washers that go with the 4mm allen bolts. a plastic spacer a small washer and a long 4mm allen bolt

http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll192/landins13/s13/P5210646.jpg

the easiest way to get everything line up is to install the 2 shorter 4mm bolts with their washers into the 2 large circular holes in the skid plate. these two bolts screw directly into your control arms

once you have those two in it makes it easier to move the skid plate around as needed to line up the two rear bolts with their holes. the 2 5mm bolts go into the crossmember, there will be holes just slightly larger than the bolts, in the pinch seams of the crossmember, just under the stearing arms. put the bolt through the hole and screw the nuts on.

the last bolt goes into the radiator support. you need to put the bolt through the washer then through the skid plate then put the plastic spacer on in between the skid plate and the rad support and screw it in.

after that tighten everything down.
NOTE: The washers for the two 4mm bolts are weak and if they arent completelly covering the hole in the skid plate they will bend. so make sure that they completelly cover the hole before tightening all the way down.

dude i parked it next to a concrete wall once, thought it got stolen for 3 weeks until i was playing catch with my cousin and i ran into it.

thats why the gas door is green. now i cant lose it.

i got pulled over in it right after i camoed it and the first thing I said to the cop was " how did you see me" he got a kick out of it and let me go with a warning

The only thing I liked besides the write up was the joke about the cop, other than that your posts have hurt my eyes.

u should tell your friend shaggy to buy a dog, and put that r32 motor in a vw bus and paint it green and blue

maybe call it something cool like "magic fantastic", or "you can ride me"

or the "mystery machine"

if i had a body kit i would look lower. i have half of an inch between the ground and my fram rails, and both time my sr has blown up it was from bottoming out the motor. east coast roads are shit cuz of the salt and snow plows.

i guess...it really depends what you do with your car. i track my car a lot and its fairly low so i have a skid plate to guard my oil pan when i accidentally go off course

I just got mine installed a few days ago. I took it for 1 test drive to town and back about 8 miles total.my skid plate it already messed up pretty bad I think aluminium might have been a bad choice. I did not bottom out very haard just light scrapes the skid plate already has a few decent sized dents in it. I guess I was just to low... I had my 215/40 17x9+15 tucking the whole front tire same fitment in the back tucking the tire on 235/40 17x10+12
