I've been working on adding some color to my interior...my color scheme is black and silver with red and carbon fiber accents (car will be painted blue) I've got one of the door panels and some of the console done, but I dunno if this is gonna be too much silver or not, since the seats and carpet are also light gray. And what about the red trim? Too ghetto? I put the trim on there to add more red, but now I think it might be too much. Either that or it looks cheap. BTW - the red trim around the cig lighter was just a test :) I messed up there so I wanted to see what it'd look like covered...hehe...sorry the pics are not that great. Any (nice) suggestions are welcome!

well its pretty cool, the red trim gotta go though, unless you have like red stitching on your seats or something (ala type R seats)

i say you make the console "lid" back to black.. and the bottom of the door panel black again also.. too much silver will detract from what youre doing..

and get a darker shift boot.. heh ;)

are you doing this yourself?.. damn thats dope.. i never got around to doing my interior.. oh well.. good luck

my opinion: girls that like 240s are always hott

edit:forgot to read the question.

seems like you are trying to put too many colors in there i would get rid of silver, do a dark gray and then use red accents that way the black blends with the grey and the red stands out.

i dont no i havent taken interior decorating........................yet!

Actually, I say go for it. It's got kind of a techno-moto thing going on. Rock it. Just be ready for the flamers.

I wouldn't do it to my car, but I say it's A-O-K.

I've certainly seen worse. My objective opinion: Looks pretty good.
My opinion: UGH. Stay stock.

That's just me though. Don't mod your car to please me or anyone else.

yeah i think the red is a bit much, specially if the car is blue. and yeah maybe too much silver on the doors. do what you like though, its nobodies car but yours.

I think you should either take it blue or leave it black on the console , blue black would look dope if the car was black. Silver is not working for me neither is the red.

i think you should leave it black.

if you want a color scheme.. get it padded w/ vinly or leather and then have red stiching in it

all in all.. i think the quality of the job is close to clean... your color preference is ok but a bit retro..:D but the red is a bit too much...the silver looks out of place because you have a big black patch, then a big silver patch....but thats my opinion..
other than that..its good keep us posted with the pics when your done... i knew dousan would respond with less than 2 words on this post.. :) ..
by the way what are you using for this? vinyl dye? or spray paint?

you know it woudl really be a lot better if you ur interiro color scheme matched ur paint.

dont paint blue.. or chage the red trim with blue.. or just remove all trim together.
all in all your doing a quality job.

Well, I know it's kind of hard to imagine now, but the color scheme is not as wild as it sounds. I'm painting the car BMW estoril blue, and the seats are dove gray leather. So, really, the main colors are light gray/silver and blue. BUT - since I am doing the s15 conversion, I have the hood emblem and the s15 steering wheel, both of which have red. Also, the gray leather seats have red stitching. So, red is just my accent color. When I get around to it, I want red/aluminum pedals, shift knob and ebrake handle, gonna paint the calipers red, etc. And once I figure out how, I want to make the center console lights red. I'm keeping the carbon fiber minimal - only a small area on the steering wheel and the bezel around the gauges. I took off the silver on the console where the ebrake handle is - looks better, so thanks for your suggestions. I think I'm going to keep the red trim for now...I kinda like it :o

I want to put some more silver in the car though. I want the interior to be black, but with lots of sleek, smooth silver - kinda spacey/futuristic looking. I dunno - it looks awesome in my head :D I know I'm a bit ricey - but I've come to terms with it and I'm ok.

BTW, I did the interior with (graphics) vinyl, not paint. But, trust me, it's not nearly as easy as you'd think!
