Don't know anything about the part, but you gotta watch those "dyno proven" claims. 8 hp gain on a honda may be only 3 on a nissan, or 8hp gain in a maxima may give you 4hp in a 240. Make sure what kind of car it was dynoed on, cause they'll use the car that got the most gain in their ad.
sorry if thats not much help, but i couldnt let you thread sit there with no replies figured i'd give ya a little advice, even if its not real helpful.

this will be very unenviromentally friendly.. u are taking off your cat? hmmm it is a felony if you get caught...
i am thinking of somehow making mine look like a cat but actually it is a dump pipe...
and i will change it every year when i go do my emmissions
is the cat clamped on? or is it welded?

the dump pipe is definitely not for street use. be prepared to take it on and off a lot. and yes, it is very illegal.
if you want something more legal, just take your existing cat and hollow it out. at least that way it looks stock. thats what i did. the only person that new was my mechanic when he was looking for an exhaust leak

I'm going to go for a highflow cat sometime. Do they make any that bolt on instead of being welded?
Although I bought the PDM Dump pipe for my s13 I would now get a High Flow Cat. I had a HKS exhaust on my s13 so it was still quieter. But if it were on a N1 or anything else it would be alot louder, and im sure it would get annoying.
You can feel the dif with the Dump pipe and a old Cat. 8rwhp is achievable.

could i rip off the heat shield around the cat and wrap it around a dump pipe?

why? to block noise? the noise would filter out the exhaust wouldnt it?

Do you know anyone who sells a high flow cat for the 240?

i believe they r universal
Options Auto sells the Random Technologies ones but they are a bit pricey, but I guess they are designed for each car.

http://www.rollhard.com has some universal ones for cheap, you just have to get them welded or whatever.

the weld is 1/2 the price... it is either $99 or $200?
well.... to help you people decide, think about how much you will pay for welding and think about much for just the bolt on.... ask your local shop........
also the bolt on is easier to take off if u need to

I heard of a place that has them for sixty bucks (weld-on). I wouldn't suggest getting the dump-pipe for every reason everyone has mentioned up there. Just my $.02.
