sup people i got a stock s14 ka24de 5 speed. the problems that i have is that at times my car will sound like a subaru and will not rev higher than 3rpm.
for example im on the freeway, my exhaust starts to sound like a subi and i would accelerate all the way and the rpms will climb very very slowly like i have no power. i just did an oil change and this start happening:wtf:
any help will be greatly appreciated.

maybe fuel pump is crapping out or headgasket is going; check compression; also do a complete tune up spark plugs, wires, cap & rotor, fuel filter

If i am not mistaken. its not the fuel pump and not the headgasket either. Your problem is very simple, over time the spark plug wires short out because they're working all the time while the engine is runing. start checking to see witch cylinder it is by pulling the spark plug wies one by one and see if the engine changes its rythem. Note: the one you pull and the rythem of the engine doesn't change then thats the one that needs replacing. Just get a set and replace all four.
If that fails then one of ur sparkplugs need replacing.
i am pretty sure that will fix the problem. best of luck

double clutch downshift and accelerate instead of being in 5th gear.
