My car is power windows and we're building a drift/track car, and my friend's car is manual crank windows. What's involved in swapping? I'd like to get the manual windows into my car and we'd put all my power stuff into his car...
Seems pretty straight forward, but I wasn't able to find any info with potential problems.
Thanks!

You did not search. Period. Some dude has been discussing this exact thing for the past few days. And then following that it's been discussed a dozen more times in the past 1-2 years, each time someone links to a thread or I go in and detail the required changes.
Try again. There's simply no need to rehash this again.

I found lots of info on putting power windows into a manual car, but didn't find much info on putting the manual guts into a power door. I've got fiberglass doors on the way, so I'll just take my friends manual stuff and have to bolt it into the fiber doors. I was google searching and didn't find much.

It's the same thing. Power to manual, manual to power. The doors are the same, the sheetmetal is precut the same. If it goes one way, it has to go the other.
Now if your FG doors aren't precut the same, you'll have problems. Otherwise it's remove and replace.

Yeah that's what I figured. They're Origin fiberglass doors, so hopefully they will have good fitment. I have a good body guy in case there are any issues.

There is no need to be a dick on here... I'm sure there are plenty of things people can ridicule you for not knowing ;) Thanks for the concern and maybe you should learn to type and spell properly before trying to flex your e-muscles. kthxbye :keke:

Besides, I was mainly looking for any potential problems to look out for, not trying to create another howto thread. So if you're trader rating is so good... got anything good for sale? ;)

Don't you have to cut the hinges off your stock doors and bolt them onto the fiberglass doors too? The b-magic doors are like that. Also I REALLY hope that your buddy has a cage w/door bars if he is going with fiberglass doors. If he doesn't he's retarded. I will absolutely not ever go with fiberglass doors on any car unless it is a trailered track car and has a full cage w/door bars.

last i checked the s13 door hinges are held by a pin which uses a c clip to secure it on, remove the clip door hinge comes off...

Fair enough. Took a quick look and didn't see anything I'd need for my build.

I'm the one going with the fiberglass doors, and he's getting my power windows haha. The car goes in this week for a full nasa ccr-spec cage w/ door bars. It is a 90% trailered track project, with the occasional drive on the street lol.

I'm talking about the part of the hinge that is in the door!

The majority of FG doors require the use of S14 door hinges, the S13 hinge is bonded and welded to the door, making it not removable. You can take the hinge apart, but that yields nothing.

Interesting... so I'd need to pick up a set of s14 door hinges?
