So i did a little research and came to the conclusion that almost all ka trannys are the exact same, but after finding a blown bearing and broken throw out bearing sleeve on my old one i got another one from somebody, he didnt have sensors on it so i started swapping my sensors over only to find one of the holes was missing on the new one, from the bell housing back its the second one out of the 4 not counting the big round one near the drive shaft... what dose this sensor do and can i live without it? the only difference between the trannys is after the serial number one says #1 and one says #2 (the new one says #2) anyone have any insight on this?

Edit: Its a 92 s13 hatch bone stock right now

We all have insight on this. It's because we all know how to use the search option. But I'm feeling nice.

S13 SOHC uses a reverse switch, neutral position, and 5th gear switches.
S13 DOHC adds a 4th gear switch.
S14 deletes the 4th gear switch, adds the CPS to the bellhousing.

None of the switches are needed for anything except the VSS, for speed indication. Even then you don't have to have it unless you care how fast you're going.

well thank you. and i used the search option and didn't find a clear answer, but now when someone searches for this it should pop right up for them.
