I filled up my car last friday, 93 octane was 1.78/gallon, my fillup was 24.50... I go the weekend and burn quite a bit of gas and I put 15 in there this afternoon... In the 3 DAYS between friday and now, the price of the gas went down to 1.58, same station... Did anyone else notice a sharp drop in gas prices today?

I don't know about today, but gas prices have been dropping steadily here in Canada over the past couple weeks.

It used to be at mid-80 cents per liter, then down to low-80's, then high 70's, etc etc. At one point it went down to mid-60's, but now I think it's at low-70's.

Anyone got an explanation?

Yeah i heard oil prices have dropped a while ago so gasoline prices should drop real soon.

The cheapest I've seen in a while was last Saturday, $1.99/gal, 87 octane, Anahiem St. a little east of the 110 freeway in Wilmington, CA. Yep, Southern California gas prices are damn high. 87 octane in La Jolla, CA, however, is still $2.33/gal as of yesterday; but then again, everything in this city is damn expensive. Southern California eats gasoline like no other...

Man, i really hope gas will go down significantly in LA...

I was almost on empty yesterday driving to the autocross, I put $6 in cuz I didn't want to race with a full tank. It was $1.85. Driving back about 8 hours later, I stopped at the same station in the middle of nowhere and it was down to $1.65. Craziness

NoVA is still expensive. $1.90 for 93 at the EXXON. 94 at the SUNOCO up the street is $1.94. But in DC 93 is still like $2.10. Last weekend when we went to ROckville MD, the Desiel Fuel (which is usually cheaper than premium unleaded) was $2.19. HOY CRAP!

Nope...no drop in North VA. Damn S1LVIA....I pay $1.73 for 93 and $1.83 for 94 octane.

I guess it will drop during the summer.

Actually no, I paid 1.58 for 93 octane... 87 octane was like 1.38 or so, but I don't use that.

Aren't you lucky... It's been high 70s here since a couple of weeks.

I think you should all go STFU. :o I've been paying $2.3X for gas for the last 3 months or so. Just yesterday I filled up at $2.21 /gallon, totalling $29.98. :( That's a lot of money.

I remember the 0.99/gallon days... That was when I was whipping the bucket though, so I was paying like 88./gallon for 87 octane... 23 years old and feeling like a senior citizen already.
