5 speed swap difficulties cel 1-11

as the title says, after i did my 5 speed swap for my 98 240sx i keep getting the check engine light code 111 which is about my inhibitor switch

i did this guide

for my 5th gear sensor and my neutral switch. how do i know i did it wrong? did it right?

Orion said that code 111 only comes up with automatic ECUs, so what I did was I swapped in a 97 240sx J6 ecu i know FOR SURE that is manual. What I previously had in there was a WM ecu which i searched on here stated it should've been a manual ECU from a 98. After I swapped the WM for the J6, still got the code 111.

i wish i had a diagnostic check thingy for the ecu so i can stop wasting gas to see my check engine light will trip lol.

i figured out that check engine light code 111 can only be triggered by something that relates to being Automatic.

is that my automatic transmission control unit? if so, it looks like i already took out the actual control unit. if not where is it? that's my driver side by the way. it's a plug thingy with a connector bolt on it.

I know for sure I have a manual ecu from a 97 240sx.

So what could be pulling Automatic codes? I think maybe I don't have a Crank position sensor but i don't know how that relates.. i'll check it anyway

any other suggestions? come on people!
