Hey headsup Zilvia crew:
I recently purchased a set of wheels from this piece of work and received them with a nail in one of the tires that he didn't let me know about before taking my money! Couldn't plug it so had to buy a new tire. Gave him a chance to man up and give me back half the amount, but haven't heard back from him. Beware if you plan to buy from him and if he is reading this, karma is a bitch and you'll get yours. :rl:

If I read this correctly, you asked him pay for half the amount of the new tire??? or refund half the amount of the set of rim???

Half the amount of the new tire. Cost me $163.00 and I asked him to give me $80 back, but nothing from him. Just thought he could be a man about it, but guess not. Kinda pisses me off. I emailed him so many times before sending him the money and he was cool. He even sent me more pics showing the curb rash which was no big deal to me. Never did he tell me of the nail. I even was hesitant to buy from him at first because this was the first time I bought wheels from anyone (this is my first set of aftermarket wheels ever) and told him I was kinda worried about getting burned as that has happened to me in the past. We kept talking and I felt comfortable enough to purchase them. He even gave me tracking numbers and warned me he had deflated the tires prior to shipping so be sure to inflate before putting on my car. I was happy until the nail arrived in my tire. I guess should've known buying used but come on, a nail is probably something no one would ask about but the seller should tell about. Made a fool of me in front of everyone, cost me more money, and basically stole from me, so yeah :fawk2: :fawkd:

can't assume he actually knew about it. not every nail puncture will cause a tire to deflate.
why couldn't it be patched up?

if its in the sidewall or close to it, you cant patch/plug it.

BINGO. The rule of the thumb: if nail is past a thumb's width from the tread into the sidewall, no patchy. And the nail head was huge; he knew it was there. Maybe paying $160 more than was planned isn't a big deal to some of you with deep pockets, but I saved money for awhile to afford to buy something I wanted, so yeah, I'm a little upset. Anyway, I'm moving on. Just wanted to give a heads up to anyone buying from this POS and to suggest when buying used ask every and all questions and prepare to spend extra just in case.

Otherwise it's your word against his.

sorry i agree with the rest, u buy used items, this stuff sometimes happens, doesnt mean the guy was out to get you.
go read some Real reviews of scammers and youll understand that 80 bucks is not a big deal at all.
hell i was screwed out of 175 bucks before, i moved on.

Yes, nail was in sidewall and no don't have pics and was not trying to be a smartass. Will be my word against his no matter what. Anyway, I am moving on as I understand buying used from someone I never met has risks involved. Was just upset had to spend $160 more than planned is all I was getting at here. This post is more to give a heads up to anyone researching this guy if/when they are planning to buy. He knew the nail was there and has not emailed me back on numerous attempts by me to get an explanation (guilt by omission imo). Anyway, excited to get my "new" wheels on the S14 once I get my Kics R40 lugs from Works Concepts, who is awesome btw! Post pics soon.

As a Rule of Thumb, all you GENIUSES that are making these claims without 1 Freaking picture! Go take a picture!
Take a picture send it to the seller, and post it on here. Take a picture/scan the receipt for your $163 dollar tire.
How is someone going to pay you $80 dollars for "YOUR WORD ONLY."
If this was in court, you'd lose due to lack of Evidence~

I dont know why you guys are giving the OP such problems. He bought a set of wheels with tires and one of the tires had a nail in the sidewall. The seller is supposedly ignoring this guy and not will to help so the buyers last resort is to discredit the seller.

^^^what he said, The seller should of replied to his emails and atleast lied and said "he didnt noticed the nail" or something but since he didnt reply then his trying to avoid the seller so that he doesnt have to pay or work something out.
sorry to hear about it MR good0177 better luck next time

Thank you! I was not looking for pitty, I am not going to press charges and see no need to take pics of a nail in the sidewall of a tire nor of a receipt for a tire I bought just for you guys to see. I was mad, took a risk and reaped the repercussions, tried to contact seller to get his side of things/find a solution man to man and nothing, so posting here fyi. Not trying to come off like a smart-ass. If you think I am making all this up, so be it that's on you. I am just giving people a heads up should they want to look this guy up. I'm moving on. End of thread.

did you ask him to refund you for half the purchase price of the 4 wheels and tires? that's not very logical. but the seller could give you a percentage back for the damaged tire, but that would involve some math, and its too late for math, i should be sleeping

He already stated that he asked for half of the cost of ONE new tire, to replace the tire with the nail.
I don't understand why EVERYONE is jumping on the OP. He is just letting everyone know of his transaction with this guy. He obviously is trying to contact the seller to set things right, but the seller obviously doesn't care or he would have returned an email or PM to the OP.
Sucks to hear what happened, hope you get some money back.

In a court of law, the judge will only give you a percentage of the depreciated value of that one tire. You can't claim the price of a new tire if the one the seller sent was used already. The seller should at least try to resolve this.

well thats probaly why he wants half back seller is wrongFirst you need to determine the cost of the used tire he sent. What's a used tire going for these days...20-50 dollars....Do you get what I'm saying? Either way, the seller needs to resolve this.

Hey guys, my wheels are up for sale. I'm looking to get 1700 obo for them. The wheels come with 245 40 nitto nt555 tires (http://zilvia.net/f/../#) all around with about 75% tread. There is a nail one of the rear tires. I prefer local pickup, but will ship at the buyers expense. You can reach me via PM.

amdnivram is right, the seller did mention the nail in one of his for sale threads, but seems that he forgot to include it in others.
