Ok, So i bought a Tanabe rear strut tower bar for my S13 Coupe. I noticed the ends were loose and there are a few "adjustments" that could be made. Unfortunately, my friend lost the instructions. :Owned:

So anyone know what these ends are for? Is the car supposed to be jacked up when i install this? How much should i tighten it?

I know strut tower bars are straightforward to install, but i just didn't wanna screw it up.

the ends are adjustable so you can fit it on the car... When you install the mount plates, you'll probably need to adjust the ends a few turns here & there.

You can do it w/ either car on jack stands or on ground, it's just personal preference for the most part.

If you do it on jack stands, make sure you support the lower shock/arm so that the shock doesn't just drop out.

But really, you need instructions for installing a strut bar?

you can "stiffin" up the bar more with the adjustment.

loosen it to fit on the strut towers, then install. then tighten the adjustable parts down. do it while the cars on the ground.

im gona have to agree with him. first install the strut bars and tighten them down. then while the cars on the ground adjust them because stress will be applied. especially with sway bars atleast thats what i've learned :D
