I say this cat back on 240sx.org. It says that it should only be used on sr's and turbo ka's, but I think it looks sexy. Would it hurt my performance or engine if I went with something this high flowing?
It is the greddy DD for s13/s14's. I can't link to it, but it is www.240sx.org in the Nissan section at the bottem of their product page (2nd to last).

It all depends on how big the piping is. The Apex-i N1 single catback is 3" and is perfect for Turbocharged engines for the 240SX, but I have it on my car and it's N/A. You'll lose a little low end power, but when you open it up, like on the freeway, that's when you start grinning.

It is 3" piping. How it works is the muffler is about a foot from the cat. Then the muffler shoots out 2 pipes which turn into long stainless steel tips for a dual tip muffler look.

[$0.02] I'd say that's a bit much for an NA application. Between the 3" piping and the long running outlets, it will be very loud and very likely to hurt your low end power. If you have NA and plan to stay that way for more than a year or two, get a Fireball NA or one of the NA Greddys - they would give you better low power, maintain high end power, and not be too loud to stand. N1 makes a catback for the 240sx N/A and Turbo
i would thinkn 3" is a bit too big for N/A

Just to let you know that I have the N1 single on my 90 240sx and my car is N/A and it is awsome, it looks and sounds great after it breaks in. Just to correct some of you the piping is not 3 inches. Its 3in from the cat to the resinator and from the resinator to the muffler its 3 1/4 inches for those who are curious.

Actually if you want to be technical it's more like 3 1/3", but that's still not N/A. I think the N/A N1 isn't made anymore or something. I can't find them anywhere. On the other hand the 3"+ piping is really good for lineating the KA's power curve above 5500rpm...but it's also good if you ever plan to go F/I, too.

BlankFlip, you might can find something at www.autoimaging.com
I'm pretty sure the Fireball NA is a little more typical for NA...2.5" expanding to 2.75" piping. So power will probably improve throughout the power band instead of just at the top end like the N1. However, like drifterx said, both are great pieces...and the N1 is very good at $100 cheaper.

LanceS13 I did not mean to say that the exhaust is the N/A model I ment that the car is N/A. So I edited my post. Is that better for you now.

i really haven't noticed any low-end loss with my 5zigen, and it has 3" piping

I've got the GReddy 2 and 1/2 piping on mine (with the big-ass-tip) and I've noticed nothing but gain in both low and high-end span. I can't do anything but repeat what the rest of these guys have said, so I'll just shut up. Now

But seriously guy's and gal's. What do you think of the cat back itself???
I thought it would look awesome in contrast to the huge single tips out there. But I'm old fashion in that sense.

Honestly, I like the look of the dual tips better too. They have pics on Enjuku.com I think.

Being a dumby when it comes to posting pics, I gave the address and how to get to it. www.240sx.org doesn't have different addresses for each part of their site.
So, click JSPEC banner on the homepage. Then click nissan on the left tool bar. Now scrole down. 2nd from the bottom.

i think it all depends on ur own personal preference. a lot of the aftermarket exhausts mentioned in this post will all do basically the same unless ur piping is too big to optimize ur set up for an n/a car. i'm partial to the apexi dual n1, i can't wait to get it in the next 2 weeks or so.
