My R32 GTS4-R build thread..... 56k DIE!

Well I guess its time to start my build thread...... I have me a 1990 Nissan Skyline GTS-4. I have opted to swap in the rb26dett from a GTR seeing hows its pretty much bolt in..... currently the motorswap is done (BPU++) and the car is currently getting paint/body work.... so thats where the pics will stop for now.
The overall plan for this was an aggressive kit but i decided to go with a nice lip and some gtr side skirts and spats..... wingless.
The engine plan:
The engine is coming back out this fall/winter and it will be getting fully built (forged pistons, H beam rods, ARP hardware everywhere, 272 cams, Port job, and a multilayer headgasket, nismo oil pump and r33 crank. Comp turbo ct4370 triple ball bearing with supporting fuel and a tial 44mm wg.... stay tuned for that)

I need coilovers for gtr not gts the gt4 shares the same suspension as the gtr/300zx
I traded my nismo coilovers for ksport version rr but have yet to install

Update: the new rb26 I put in is now making a noise in the bottom end :( I suspect rod knock...
I now have these parts sitting here waiting to go in

It's actually rwd/awd selectable.... It does have the atessa ets system but can be run in strictly 100% rwd by just pulling a fuse (I'm going to install a switch)

I can go awd or rwd with it disabled

Also I have the new suspension but every day I've had off to put it in IRS been raining out :( keep checking back for pics of it slammed and motor build pics

update.... the one youve all been waiting for! she's dumped!
ok so today i switched out my nismo coilovers in favor of a set of Ksport version RR's
i took the ksports and lowered the backs as far as i could..... the threads actually bottomed out in the lower part of the coilover..... i than took the front and brought the lock for the lower part (the height adj part) all the way up to the spring perches until all three were touching.... i than tightened up the spring about 3/8 of an inch so i could lower it even more! so i had all three touching again.... i measured these and the nismos..... this was an additional 3.5 inch drop on top of the 1in drop the nismos gave me over stock..... and i still want another 1-1.5 inches! i want my rim rubbing my fender :) my buddy gave me the idea to pull out two of the lock/perches on the front coils to get an extra 5/8 (so there is only one perch for the spring that also locks the lower height adj part) of an in or so and to take apart the rears and remove the collar in the bottom so that i can turn the threads another 1/2 in before they bottom out..... so that will be coming soon.... but enough talk here is her dumped.... i havent driven it yet so im sure itll settle some and get a bit lower too

it does look pretty good right now and my options are this:
-lower another 1.5 in so tires are tucked
-run 245 or 255 at this height so they tuck
-keep this height and tire and run less camber so the tires tuck more

Looks like it's coming along. I literally went "ahhhhhhhhhhhh" when I saw the lowered pics - looking at a fairly cool car that's 4x4 height is like an itch you can't scratch/nails down a chalkboard.

whats ur tire sizes. i have 18 by 9.5 coming with 15 offset and lookinf what tires people are running. also whats ur cars color code. that doesnt look just like black. maybe im just dumb haha

the old black was Nissan metallic black pearl code 932? I think
the new paint is straight black ppg 9700 with ppg 2021 clear

He started with a GTS-4, it came AWD with the same Atessa (sp?) setup as the GTR. No swap work involved, unless you consider swapping oil pans a swap.

Yup exactly as he said.... It was a straightforward "swap"
my chassis already has all the atessa/hicas parts (pump, computer, gsensor etc) so I just used the gtr transmission (the gts 4 is the same with different gearing and I've read it's not as strong... Not sure how true that is) at that point I'm running different gear ratios between the front and read diffs which is obv bad so I had the choice of getting a gtr rear diff or using my rb20 front diff.... I was broke at the time so I just swapped front diffs/pans
