Built KA24? or turbo?

so i think i spun a bearing on my KA24DE...

im thinking about just rebuilding this engine and keeping it N/A

dont really want to deal with the problems of having an illegal engine especially because its my daily driver and i live in So Cal.

so im wondering what are some good things to do to my KA that will increase the horse power and still keep it street legal...

high flow cat
headers
full exhaust
light weight pully set (steering, water, crank, alt)
cams

nothing that will give you significant NA power is legal in Cali. so either live with 160whp or an illegal engine. is the greddy kit still available and CARB legal?

but real fun is in the turbo kit

you will not be getting 200wph on boltons on a KA. hard enough to do on a fully built KA. one of ym buddies has been struggling with this for the past year. i think best run hes had so far was 185-190whp. if he does some more tuning he may break 200, but he has a ton of time and money into his engine.

sohc pistons/ bigger injectors/ bc 264 cams/ header with heatshield/ port & polish head/ Extrude honed intake manifold/ z32 maf with stock intake piping/ well hidden safc2/ high flow cat.

on 8psi you could push well over 200 hp. plus its torque that counts

If you want NA power and inspiration go freshalloy and look up greaser. Only person that has a 200+ wrhp and it pretty documented documented. He is going supercharged now though. Or if you have a sohc motor, hit up robello (i think that how u spell it). They sell crate motor rated at 240hp (not cheap though).
