View Full Version : How do you get the front door panels
I have a '91 240sx and i cant figure out how to get the door panels off. There seems to be somethign stuck around the door release latch but i cant find any screws. Anyone got links or done this before? I dont want to break it.

I can't give you exact instruction's but here is what I did with mine. Look for ALL screws, If i remember there was one that was hard to get near the power window buttons, also i think it clips in so tug it hard but be gentle (kind of a contradiction but u get the idea) Just keep trying at it, and it will come off.

As I recall there is 1 screw under the small cap between the door and the side of the dashboard. The next screw is in the door handle under a square cover. You have to pry the square out first. The next step is the frame around the door handle (the one you use to open the door). You have to pry it out too.
After that you can lift up the handle/power window controlls assembly. The rest I think is just plastic clips on the perimeter of the door. After you get them loose you can lift the whole inside part of the door.
My wife has the car today so I can't really go out and look at the door. If you still have problems with the door I can post a message later in the evening.
