Best Car does it again and shows us what the 2010 (JDM) Nissan GT-R will look like without the zebra mask as it was seen while testing at the Nürburgring on April 23rd. The changes to the GT-R are most obvious from the front with a second “winglet” added to the front bumper. GTRblog.com’s article on [...]

From what I heard on Best Motoring, there is also changes in the Attesa system, which gives it better corning. Although power is the same, the torque band is a little different. There was a side by side comparison made.

The VSPec is sick though I might add

The 2009 model had too much torque in low gears. They were having issues with the transaxle holding up. The 2010 model has addressed that issue. I can get more info tomorrow at work..

There isn't any launch control any more, if that is what you are talking about. The only other button you can be talking about is on the VSpec which scramble boosts the car to like 540HP...

yeh, well i'd like to see how their tranny holds up to that 540hp, you buy a new porsche 911 turbo, it has a lauch control, but porsche stands behind their product 100% that they don't care if you launch that car all day long, they know it won't fail, and they warranty it if it were to break

Nissan just needs to (or should have from the outset) offer a conventional, honest, no-nonsense beefy manual tranny 'option'.
Might even bring the cost down some.
Really isn't any reason to do otherwise.
It's a Nissan, but some Bentley or Rolls Royce.

Now if Nissan could pull this off without incident then great, but evidently that's not the case.
Of course ppl are who buy this type of car are going to drive it hard.
Some technologies just aren't worth the hassle imo.

IIRC the GT-R still has launch control. Nissan reprogrammed the software to launch at 3500 with the traction control on instead of 4500rpm with traction control off to put less stress on the tranny. It's still fast. Even with the traction control on.

The carbon ceramic brakes of the spec-v alone raise the cost by $50K. Damn

^ You sir are right

The brakes could lower it by 50K and I still couldn't afford it. Honestly if I had 167K to spend there is no way in the world I would buy this.

I would much rather have an Audi R8, than a GTR. But that is just me.

Hint- The carbon brakes available on the ZR1 Vette are the same rotor, and MUCH MUCH cheaper.
