so the other day i did a 120mph run at around 2am and saw that my temp went over 100 degrees C. You guys think there's a head gasket's leak?
On normal my car runs about 80-90 degrees and on hot days 90-100. I did a coolant swap a year ago and I don't really push my car on a daily. What should I be checking besides that my water pump and radiator is functioning?

My car does that, doesnt mean necessarily that something is fucked up. I'd flush it then run water-wetter and bleed the system...see if that helps.

That's wayyy too hot im gessing you haven't bled it properly my Z usually Runs at 68*C and Track days it'll go as high as 95 but no higher. never hit the 100*C mark and this is on a Twin Turbo Z32. Even RB's don't get that hot. I really think you should bleed the hell out of your system. check ignition timing, if you have an SR put the stock Shroud and Clutch fan back on, if you have an RB make sure your fans are hooked up properly and that you are running Dual Electric Fans

this was no fans, it was about 70deg outside. i was testing things after i installed my koyo and flushed the coolant system, added my new failsafe thermostat and new radiator cap. i pulled off an exit, and then went straight onto the onramp. going through the gears. i was cruising doing about 80 - 90mph for several miles then exited.
anyways, theres no reason you should be at those temperatures. youre either experiencing inadequate airflow over the radiator, sticky thermostat, leaky radiator cap, clogged radiator or coolant passage, or more likely air in the system.
do yourself a favor, get a brand new radiator cap, thermostat, and water pump. use a coolant flush kit. flush the coolant and run a proper coolant mixture. make sure there is coolant in the overflow tank. and bleed the coolant with the nose of the car slightly lifted off the ground.
if you have to ask how to bleed coolant you shouldnt be modifying your car. use google please. theres tons of ways to bleed the coolant.
just dont forget to bleed it with the heater turned to hot and full blast.

Sorry guys I should've indicated at the beginning but i have a:
Blacktop S14 sr
Stock clutch fan with stock shroud still in place
i'm going to check next week and make sure there's no gasket leaks and flush coolant

The fuck you guys? 90*-100*c is only 194*f - 212*f. Nissans 1st cooling fan switch doesnt even engage till 203*f, and the 2nd doesnt engage untill 212*f. Im constantly near 203*f+ which is around normal operating temps.
If the thermo doesnt open untill say 194*f, the temps wont stabilize out untill around 200+*f .
So when your bleeding your engine, and cooling fan relay 1 trips, you've over heated your engine? 120mph is stupid, but 100*c would be normal head water temps. I would suggest a nismo thermostat to stabilize the temps at a much safer temp bracket.
OP what temp gauge are you using?
50/50 coolant + a z32 1.2bar cap will nto make your coolant boil at 109*c...but if the temps in the head are much higher than where your temp gauge sensor is I would be concerned.
