My coupe re_build after V

Sunday: Day 1

I will attemp to fully get this car back running in one week. Things to be done.

Assemble engine
fit and install widebody
Install BN sport style kit
Do a fucking burnout next sunday SUNDAY :o

Deatails on engine:

Spun a bearing at vir last month and im missing all of the events right now. so time to rebuild it

ACl race bearing
engine cleaned, decked, honed,
OEM rings, pistons, rods
Cometic headgasket
GT28 s15

Im basically building this engine back to stock with new bearing. Im only looking to push around 300hp to this would work for me.

the real ups dood just showed up with the biggest box I have ever seen. The kit is an BN sports copy. From the initial looks its going to take a lot of work to make it look right. :shock:

Yeah, the chaser kit needs a lot of work, but Im not worried. I'll out the time in to get it looking good. Fuck having a busted ass drift car. This was just an oem build with race bearing. I dont plan to run too much boost, but as far as the ems question I dont have one. Im running stock ecu, injectors, maf, but an s15 turbo.

well the motor is back together. I just need to install the oil pan. This will be all for today. Day 3 done.

I love your rims, what are they? and how much did they go for?

gramlights 57pro luminous yellow. 17x9 +12. I dont really know what they go for brand new, but I got them used for a great deal. The front fits pretty good but i might add a 5 mm spacer. the rear needs about a 25mm to make it look like I want. im looking for an aggressive set off wheels in the classifieds. Hope fully I can get what I want.

relocated to the interior. It was a pita but damn worth it. i dont have any pics at all. I just used the fsm and started taking things out that i didnt need. all relays and fuses are where the radio used to be. i run an ipod system hooked up to a mini amp to 6x9...lol

Quick up date: I had to skip a week!!!!

Some of you know that we had a baby boy on friday 22 @ 11:11. Damian Kai was born so all work stopped on the car that day. He is doing well and so is my wife. I was very blessed to have a healthy lil dood and an awesome wife. Since they are both doing well I have started to work back on the car. I have put about 100 miles on the engine and it is very healthy. A few peole might have seen it cruising around yorktown to day while i was on my way to the paint store. I will hopefully finish the body work today with the help of razmus and my buddy jason, so paint can be layed tomorrow morning. If you are wondering what color is going to be check in tomorrow.

Fucking paint. Went ahead and finally bought a nice gun.."Devilbliss".

With the help of "Moreinpatient" from SoM I figured out my problems. Its still a garage job, but it came out great. I finally got the outcome I wanted with this black metallic paint. It came out really good. I have to re-spray the front right fender, but everything else is butta. Minor orange peel, but I can live with it. Its a drift car anyway. The body parts will probably come flying off the first event.

How much in Materials including the Gun did you spend?

It is a really really good choice to paint your own car. By the time you pay the paint bill..assuming they quote you around $1200-$2000 you could have bought your own set up. Also you can make money if you have a few people that are also looking for paint. I payed for my set up the first 2 guys that asked me to paint their cars. It does take some practise and skill to pull it off right. This is my 10th paint job and i can honestly say that it came out great.

Materials:
Basecoat $75
Clear $50
Masking misc. $40
Sand paper $20
Devilbliss Gun $140
60 gal air comp $375 on craigslist

I would say close to $700-$900, but you can always have that set up for future paint jobs..

I have had it for about a year. I sold the ka and got an SR. I took it to VIR for a track event and spun a bearing. So I decided to put my RX7 Fd build on hold and finish this coupe right.
