I am having trouble removing my SR injectors from the rail to put on my KA-T. I did the removal by putting the screws back in and trying to pry it out at both ends but it just ended up breaking the plastics. Ive tried searching, and used all the advice I have read already. Now my question is:

1.) Can I still use the injector with the two openings next to the screws are being broken?

2.) Any other route?

Fuel rail is off the car BTW. Can provide pictures. No damage is done to the clip or to the golden rod in the middle, just plastic.

are you talking about the plastic on top of the injector?

if the sides are eaten up it would be okay as long as the o-rings are sealing

use a vicegrip with a towel or just pull it out with your hand

or a flathead and pop it out

you have to sort of swivel it in a circle for the o-ring to pop out

its a pain in the ass but keep trying

The circle part on top of the injector and the sides. Doesnt seem like any of the part that would not let the o-ring seal. The cap still goes back on easily.

By doing the flathead trick is the way it would break the plastic.

it will be fine

pull it out with vice grips

rotate while pulling
