I have begun installing an sr into my s13. Things seem to be going well however, Im concerned about what I think other people call the lower harness. Does that need to be swapped for the SR portion? And if so, where to connect the plugs that are right inline with the battery positive cable? there are like 2 or 3 plugs that require a plug and those are obviously not on the ka harness. Can anyone please shed some light on this topic. I have searched for a while and Im sorry Im just really tired and am probably missing the info so can someone just route me exactly where I can find the info thanks a lot ahead of time.

Well i dont mind using the lower SR harness but here is my actual question then. On the lower KA harness the part that ends at the battery positive terminal, right below it has 4 plugs 3 that are in line right beneath the fuse box, and 1 that loops right behind the fuse box and finally a ground wire that screws onto the pass side strut wall or whatever that thing is called. So the SR doesnt have those same 4 plugs at the battery end. It does have the ground wire and a different plug that certainly doesnt go with the ka ones. Can you guys shine some light on this for me?

Some of the plugs are not used on the lower harness from what I remember

i just used the KA lower harness. worked fine for me. the only thing that didnt line up properly was the black spade plug that goes on to the starter. you have to kinda jam it into place. so if you have the sr one just replace it with that i guess.

y (http://lmgtfy.com/?q=sr20det+Swap+Engine+Harness+Wiring+)ou can simply try a "sr20det Swap Engine Harness Wiring" search in google or your fav search engine. (http://lmgtfy.com/?q=sr20det+Swap+Engine+Harness+Wiring+)
courtesy frsport website.
you can use the sr harness and just re-pin or cut and splice a few wires on the connector behind that battery.
note: some connectors will not be used.

Ok thanks for the info. I did read the frsports write up and that was mainly about the main engine harness.
I thought about using the KA lower harness but the plug for the Alternator is not the same. So if I dont need to use those plugs :)

Hey first off, thanks to everyone pitching in. I really appreciate it. So I think I did a decent job with the wiring of this thing. Can anyone kind of direct me as to how to arrange the heater hoses? Or what kinds to use? Also, where do any of you guys get your upper radiator hose from? I was able to use one of the KA hoses as temporary fix but would prefer to get hoses that fit correctly if possible.
I tried cranking it today and to my surprise it did! it was quite exciting considering this is my first nissan swap and im working alone. The problem im getting is that when I turn off the ignition and remove my key the cluster lights stay on. What could be causing this? I was doing my wiring according to the frsports website and the only wires I couldnt really find mates for was the A/C relay. So I assumed the SR I got had no AC which is weird considering there is an A/C compressor attached to my engine.
Anyways if anyone out there has any idea I would very much appreciate the help. So just in case its of any importance, I have a 93 twincam and dropped a blacktop sr20 in it and trying to wire it up correctly. Thanks.
