Radio question

When i bought the car, the radio that has been installed is a Sony Xplod CDX-MP40. the problem is on the first volume setting, its loud as hell, too loud. my question is... is there anyway of adjusting the volume to a lower setting ?

lol my friend had an xplod unit a few years ago and it only had like 4 or 5 volume settings and all of them were loud as hell and it just got louder lol it sucked ass...i think its just how the unit was built
