RB25det shiffter popping out of 3rd gear on decelleration/0-throttle

My synchros are fine, the trans is fine, the rubber boots are installed correctly and the shifter is installed correctly. The shifter pops out of third even with the rubber boots removed. Its extremely annoying and I want it to stop.

I heard there was a ball/spring that kept the trans in gear but I don't know where it is and if I can even access it with the trans in the car. Any input?

And i know shifter doesn't have two f's, sorry

try changing your shifter bushing... since your synchros are still fine that's all you might need to do...

When you say shifter bushing, if you mean the white round plastic piece that sinks into the shifter hole than its def. not that, i've tried three shifters.

I could be something internal on the selector shaft the ball detents may be worn out letting the shifter pop out of gear on a decel and neutral.

When i forcibly hold the car in 3rd gear and decellerate I can feel something wobbling against the shifter or some kind of vibration which is likely the culprit. I don't feel it an any other gears on decelleration either.
