So lets discuss Circuit sports. I know theyve been around for a good while and they have some really affordable products.

My question is regarding their suspensions.

Who has them or had them?
What did you like or dislike about them?
How do they compare to other brands if you had different types?

I just wanted to see what feedback the community had on them. My friend has some s13 tension rods and they look super beefy but we wont know how well they will hold up until he hits something.

I think they would be fine pieces of equipment if you replaced the heim joints.

i'm glad someone asked this. i scored a c/s catback exhaust, both strut bars, and the rear bumper suppurt bar. i also bought their short shifter. i'm considering getting all the suspension stuff they offer and would like to know if it's good quality.

I have the tension rods, and so far they are holding up. Haven't hit anything yet lol.... I track my car a lot as you know, but other than that wouldn't get any bar that moves from them. I don't like their tie rods, very close to megans, same with RUCA's. But toe arms and traction arms, that don't have much movement.... I am sure its not bad.

yea thats the whole point in this thread. Do uncover the MYSTERY of CIRCUIT SPORT. Their tension Rods seem to be very different from their other arms. Completely different colors too. You know how manufactureres try to keep all their arms the same color. CUSCO, PBM, KAZAMA.

quality looks different to me.

On a side note, they did provide us with the coolant overflow tank which is awesome. Do we have any circuit sport reps in here?

okay back on topic folks. Yes their accessories are awesome. But what about their suspensions?

Like I stated above bro. Its not the welds and poor fabrication that makes most of these "ebay" parts not good. Its the Heim joints, replace them with some quality ones and you are golden. I would trust this method for toe/traction, but as for RUCAs I wouldn't skimp out unless you want to die while sliding sideways.

I don't do any track or drifting, but I have all their suspensions arms for about 1 year and never had a problem with them at all. They are all sturdy and rock solid and mind you I drive in the worst streets of the country (New York). Their suspension arms are well worth the price.

Check thread "Do not buy ebay arms"

Clearly the arms are the issue.

I have there tie rods bc my stock ones took a dump. They were cool at first (or so I thought), but now Im saving up for some peak performance, spl or something that's NOT cs.

No problems here, I'm running their RUCA's, Toe and Traction links on the rear of my S14. I slide on them quite frequently and haven't had a problem. I'm confused on why everybody's concern is with their heim joints. What exactly is your issue?

If you consider the housing material, the ball material, and the fact that they are not self lubricating. The size of the shank would place this heim joint in a category rated to handle over 10,000lbs. static load.... I think this bring up the concern for proper installation and circumstances of the break. Where did it happen? How did it happen? I know there are a lot of "special" people on here, no offense if this applies to you :cj:, that give out inaccurate information quite liberally

i agree. i think a lot of people on here are stuck on "name brand kool aid" and consider anything else shit. i know a lot of people with circuit sports parts, and dont know anyone with a failure yet. i dont think phase2motortrend or some of the other reputable sponsors/vendors would sell this stuff if it was trash. you can definitely tell their parts are much better/nicer than the ebay stuff.

I took a set of broken circuit sports tension rods off a crashed car and I must say that they look very nice. The quality of the arm itself rivals (dare I say) SPL's and the bearings are actually nicer then the ones on my SPL tension rods. I plan to use the bearings/adjusters from the circuit sports tension rods on my FLCA's as I want bearings there instead of bushings. Their bearings are nice, teflon lined, 3-piece bearings and they feel really good. Even the used ones that I got felt just right. Not too tight, not too loose. I would highly reccomend their tension rods at the least. I have not personally seen any of their other arms, but as long as the bearings are the same as their tension rods they will be just fine. Honestly looking at how the arm broke in the "do not buy ebay arms" thread I don't think it broke all by itself. It looks like that arm suffered some sort of trauma before it broke. I wouldn't be afraid of circuit sports and I am a well known bearing whore.

i have the CS RUCAs i bought for super cheap from my buddy's part out. Its for the S13.

I must say, compared to other RUCAs I've seen, they don't look beefy at all. The heim joint threading looks thin, and all together, they just looked flimsy to me for some reason... don't know why..

BUT, I will say, I've had them on my daily driven car for over a year, tracked a couple times... and so far so good. No bends, heim joints show no rusting, blue powder coat still in tact, and over all, they look just like they did a year ago when I installed them (just dirtier)

I have Front Strut bar, RUCA, rear 5 lug hub from CS on my S14 and I haven't had a single problem yet after over a year of street driving/drifting.

Trust me when I say that that arm had absolutely every reason to break. ANY tension rod would have been mangled. It broke right at the front bolt hole where it attaches to the control arm. The control arm was mangled up as well.

I have their tension rods, RUCA's, Traction rods, toe adjusting rods, and their front strut bar. I highly recommend their products , because their reliable, high quality at an affordable price. just one time i broke their tension rod on a ugly pot hole, but the guys at phase2 replaced it for me since it was still under warranty.

PS. FTW on their CS exhaust and coolant reservoir, I also have those on my car :bigok:

That threading is classified as "fine" (ASME UNC = course / UNF = fine) that threaded shank would have a tensile strenght rating of around 120,000psi. You opinion = :gives:

No, KAZAMA arms are different. Tie rod ends and tension rods are anodized red, but rear arms are powder coated red. Not that important, but they don't match.

I got s13 trunk bar from Pahse2 and is that thing from CS?
Anyway, I love that bar. It's good quality and well constructed for sure.

non the less, i need to buy some extended lug studs and i saw that they make some. i know it might not be considered suspension but,

is anyone here using the circuit sport extended lug studs? good? bad?

i have the CS s13 ruca, they do look a bit flimsy, but the overall quality seems good, daily them for 3 months and so far so good...
