Does anyone have experience with these manufactures, that could tell me the difference in quality and fitment. I want to buy the Version Select V1 or the Origin Stylish aero kits for my kouki S14, although they appear to be almost identical in design. There has to be differences in quality and fitment between the two manufacturers.

Fiberglass parts.
What else is there to say? I have origin overs, and full stream kit. The front fenders weren't the greatest. My one skirt was twisted. Didn't really expect much more though, seeing as they are fiberglass.

Was the skirt twisted from shipping, storage, or just crappy production?
I really think all of these kits come from the same place!!!

My vs bumper just needed a bit of trimming and it fit great.

I have heard that the skirts in these kits dont fit too good. Can anyone say differently or is this true? In alot of pictures I see, they look like they are falling off.

i have had a few full kits from both version select AND origin.
i never did ANY modifications to them and they fit pretty damn good.
NO complaints.

Thanks for the input guys, although I still can't believe that there is no difference in fitment between the two manufacturers. Because both kits are essentially the same, I want to make my decision based on fitment. I really apopreciate the responces.

origin and version select are great
pretty sure they're the same company or something
version select is just like copy kits
hit up touge factory for either of them!

I always thought Version Select is a company that started itself in the states while Origin is a JDM brand...they may have copied the same kit but they're more than likely not the same.
Ive had Version Select and it fitted well enough out of the box but I still trimmed it a bit to make it fit better. From what Ive seen Origin seem to be a bit better when it comes to fitment. Version Select FRP layer seemed thicker compared to Origin.

which is the same contact info as touge factory :)

Origin fits like crap on Z33's.
Wavy as hell too.

I had VS a while back,
The front bumper lined up with the fenders nicely but were it met the line where the hood met it sucked. I sagged really bad. Even with alot of work it was not near oem fitment.
I have Bmagic now and I love the fitment

I got the Streamline kit from Origin.
Looks sexy but the sideskirts when I got them where a wee bit too small, so it needs some custom work, but other than that. Front and Rear bumpers are perfect fitment.

my buddy has VS and the one side skirt is like a little like bent lol but other than that not to bad.. and i've seen some one that had a origin kit he had to extensive work to it to make it fit .. but i know some one else that just bought one and it is nearly perfect... sounds like a hit or miss.

I would like to find out if they are the same company. Do you think the company which these kits are bought from make a difference? Some companies may have kits that have been sitting around for a while and thrown around, while others move the kits fast enough where they are fresh from the manufacturer?
I think am thinking too far into this?

Crappy production.
I will add that my front & rear bumpers and rear overfenders were a pretty good fit.
The skirts required more work, as well as the front fenders.
But who knows, my chassis could just be twisted and fucked.

ive messed with a few kits. the fitment is great! but my front fenders fit like total ass. ive worked them a ton and they still dont quite fit right. i think theyre slightly bigger than OEM or something.. thats what it seems like. but some people have great luck so i may have just got a bad batch.

it all depends on the quality of the mold i think

What you have to take into consideration is that fiberglass will shrink over time . And the air temp and humidity when the kit is made will cause changes too. So if the kit is made in Japan sits there for 6 months (air temp is diff,Humidity and so on ) then is shipped to the US chances are it will shrink and twist .

Yes, thats what I was getting at. In saying that, are there better companies to buy from than others? Some distributors may have these kits sitting around for a long time, others may move them faster?
I have already decided on an Origin Streamline kit, I just need to find the best price and distributor of legit kits?

I have the Origin Stylish kit on my car and it fit great.. The only thing that was a pain were the Origin front fenders. But all-in-all I give it an A+.

I ended up purchasing the Origin Stylish Front bumper and sideskirts. That black car posted above was actually what made me make up my mind. I will be installing my jspec.com 270r style rear bumper, as it is a little more low profile than the origin or VS. Thank you for all the replies, I will post pictures when it is installed on the car.

Recently recieved my Origin kit, looks good, althought I would like to modify the side skirts to fit more flush to the side of the car.

hmmm.... I don't think so. They just released kits for the JZX100 mark II and Chaser.

Version Select fit pretty good.
Just some MINOR adjustments were needed.
The material is good, not wavy.
Just one of the skirts had a bit of a bow in it.

I've had both kits. Both are good fitment. A little work with a file and it'll match up nice. I have a vs kit now. Holds up well, I've beat the piss out of this kit

I have the VS V1 kit for my Kouki S14 and the front and sides fit pretty damn perfect, the rear is blah. I had to do some custom fitting on the rear to get it to fit.
