I just bought one of these crappy polyethylene mounts and it broke in less than a day.. http://www.bizlocker.com/mount1.JPG
I need something way stiffer than stock because the chattering on my clutch is really rough causing exhaust to clang against everything upon engagement.... How much stiffer is a nismo transmission mount compared to stock? does anyone know of any all-steel or all-al trans mounts?
Thanks!

I run a Peak Performance Pro tranny mount along with solid motor mounts and haven't had any issues. The one you got looks like a cheap Ebay pile of plastic, I know Avid makes a aluminum mount and heres a link to another site with a solid tranny mount. They will make all kinds of stuff rattle in your car.

You could always take a stock mount and fill it with 3M window weld or similar product. Took almost the slop out of my transmission. However, be prepared for added road noise

If you REALLY wanna control driveline movement don't bother with the nismo trans mount. It is barely stiffer then stock. I use a peak performance race trans mount and I love it. I had an SPL solid urethane mount for YEARS before that and the only reason that it cracked and I had to replace it was because one of the spacers fell out and I couldn't find a replacement that worked well. Keep that in mind if you do go with the peak or SPL mount though, you have to put loctite on the bolts or the nuts come off and the spacers fall out.

Nismo mount + Tanabe urethane mount insert = glorious. Solid as hell but retains the OE exhaust hanger.

The most solid trans mount is the Avid Racing one.
