im looking into getting another 240. i want to run nitrous on it. nothing crazy or anything just a 75 to 125 shot.
i wanted to know what bolt ons you need for what shot. also do you need a head gasket?
what are some other peoples numbers with spray on a kaden.
i searched and found nothing on ka's and nitrous

Not too familiar about nitrous, but you should take into account of added fuel to compensate for the 75 or 125 hp shot. In conjunction with the added fuel, you may benefit from a tune as well. Unlike SR's, KA ecu's dont compensate as much. IMO, if your ka is pretty good condition, as in, no oil leaks, oil burning or anything of that nature, the stock head gasket should hold up fine.
It's not like forced induction where you would hit positive pressure at a certain rpm and have a consistent abuse bearing down on the motor throughout the power band. So, nitrous seems a bit more forgivable in terms of reliability.
Also, drifting with nitrous doesn't seem too apealing, I'd imagine it'd be too inconsistent. that's just me though...

IMO when it comes to making horsepower nitrous is like pabst blue ribbon. It gets the job done, but you're not going to enjoy it, and you may regret it in the morning. Turbo is like some good liquor. It gets you where you want and you enjoy every second of it, but you gotta watch it cause it'll bite you in the ass pretty easily. N/A is like a fine wine, smooth and sophisticated.
With that said if you really wanna run a nitrous system there are plenty of bolt-in systems that would work fine. It doesn't sound like you really wanna push the envelope. Keep in mind though that nitrous is VERY hard on the engine's internals. I wouldn't even consider running nitrous on anything that I planned to drive daily. The prep for nitrous is pretty much the same as the prep for a turbo. There are a lot of janky set-ups that work, but to make it work RIGHT you should have at least a re-enforced bottom end, forged pistons alone should suffice, and a good fuel management system.

a stock KA block should be able to handle 250hp pretty safe right? so if i bought a nos kit that would run about that or lower would i be pretty safe?
i dont daily the car but if i wanted to i want to know if i could
(im asking more questions then the guy who started the thread my bad haha. just very intresting topic)
found that ae86. it has a s2k motor in it too

I think it'd be pretty sweet to have a pressure switch set up underneath your gas pedal that when you're at WOT, the NOS sprays. Or even better, something with variable resistance that gradually sprays more with different throttle levels.

i already have a built sr and want to have something to play with. i just want to pick a 240 up for next to nothing and just spray it. if it blows, o well it was fun while it lasted.
plus my buddy was talking shit with his $200 dodge neon that he is going to spray with h/g intake exhaust and a clutch. so i was talking shit saying that a nissan would be better for it.

The stock ka rods and pistons can handle WAAY over 250hp, more like 400 HP. The weak point would be the stock pistons. IMO the first thing that would happen is that it would burn a hole in a piston. That's why I said I thought a set of forged pistons would do the trick. If you run a small shot of nitrous and don't use it frequently a stock engine will probably be fine for a long time, as long as it was in good shape to begin with.

Lol, that, by far, is probably the best summary I've ever heard. I wish we still had the rep system cause you'd get + a billion quadrillion million.

ya he did a good job making it easy to understand..
i think im going to do this if everything can be hidden from popo. im putting a s14 ka in right now with 90k miles so we will see whats up...
everything stock but exhaust and im going to take it to the local events.
i could do it a lot faster if people buy my parts!!!! haha

that backfire looks like it was caused by the massive purge that he did seconds before taking off...

if you have a solid motor, you could run a wet 75 shot, with a nitrous retard.
for 100 and up, id say your lookin at a head gasket, header, nitro retard, fuel pump,
anything over 150 id say build the motor
you also have to add in how often you thing your gonna be spraying it,

it would be my cars twin. i would get a s13 hatch and paint it the same color at my car i have now. i have a altima for a daily and still would be able to drive the ka24den on the weekends or weekdays. i wouldnt be spray happy. well i said the same when i bought a turbo car. now i have dropped 20k+ in just my 240 and over 30k all together into cars. damn addictions.
illegal street racing in my anit drug.
KA24DEN is my registered trade mark. dont steal that shit. a few have already stole my sr23det tag that i made.
