They are calling for a massive hailstorm tomarrow afternoon and my S13 hatch is all alone in the dorm parking lot, halfway under a tree. Don't S13 panels dent really easily because Nissan made them thin for weight savings?
I don't need a $500 deductable payment and hail stormed cars look horrible.

They do dent easily....IMO...but can you park your car in some garage and hitch a ride back to your dorm?

Well....I hope your car turns out okay.

Hell, if you can't find somewhere to put it, just cover the car in towels and blankets. I did that last summer. We we're getting some hardcore hail and my car was outisde. I put some towels on it and covered it with a tarp. I didn't get any damage.

THOSE PANLES DENT WAY EASY!, My hood wouldent pop one day, so i put my hand up to it and pushed on my fender, and it poped and never came out, once i get a paint job, ill pop it out, if i did it now it would just crack the paint.

i had my car parked out in a hailstorm with probably 1/2-3/4" balls of hail and u better believe i was out there with an umbrella checkin on it! luckily didn't get dented, and suprisingly none of the glass got shattered or anything (what i was most scared of). hopefully u get this lucky too

I parked under a carport at my old apartment and got hailed on twice!! I was even shielded by my building on the side the hail was coming from--except for a small area. I still got hail damage--my car is a target--that's what I guess for buying a red one I guess ;) Even hail can target it!

Good luck shielding your car from the hail. thelinja has an excellent idea. Do you have time to go buy a tarp and maybe a few extra towels tonight?

Thanks guys. I would have done that tarp idea, but I was gone for the week.
Anyways, it hailed and some cars did get a few dents, but no cars look like "golf balls." I did a get a small piece of cracked paint on my roof and a tiny tiny chip on the hood, so I can fix it all.
On an unrelated note, dorms suck. A few kids thought it would be fun to key obscenities on a random row of cars. They got 8 (that I counted) and stopped two cars down from me.
I can't wait to go home to a garage.

I'm so glad they didn't get your car! I ran into a bit of that at my old apt as well--8 cars got broken into, and they finished their work on the one NEXT TO MINE!!! Then, a few months later, they took a crowbar to the car DIRECTLY BEHIND MINE and jacked the guy's stereo equipment. Every one of these cars was worth only like $2k-$4k MAX!! I was soooo scared. I couldn't sleep well at night for the next 2 months before my lease was up. Thank God I have a garage now :)

That sux!!! you could park against a building or other structure and then rig a tarp like a tent from it. Hope the hail stays away!!

:( I just paid 2.39 for 91 octane, maybe it would be cheaper to ship gas from back east lol
