s13 test pipe throwing CEL

sorry if this is a super noob question but i recently put in a 2.5in test pipe into my 91 240sx, i removed my cat and replaced it with the test pipe now its throwing a CEL.. any suggestions on how fix this? i searched but no answers...its obd1 so no 2nd o2 sensor why is it throwin the cel?

i dont have a code reader and too lazy to take apart my glove compartment etc... although i kno i should get the code.. has anyone else replaced their cat with a test pipe and CEL/no CEL?

if your too lazy to take apart 1 panel to get to your ecu, then your CEL will stay on and you can move on with your life.

most CEL lights have to do with smog, so obviously with no cat your not gonna pass anyway.

if you put the cat back on and the CEL goes away then u can smog obviously, if not then you have another issue.

most likely its another issue, but all you have to do is get to your ecu and if you search on the forums there will be write ups on how you can check the codes, and what they mean.

or you can buy a factory service manual (FSM)

my information is probably not 100% accurate but close enough.

there is no code reader except you. you turn a screw and then a red light blinks a certain amount of times, thats how you get the code.
