View Full Version : is this true j30 dif in a 240

i have a s13 and was told that a cheap easy way to have a lsd is to use the dif from an infiniti j30, apparently the person who told me put it on there coupe and it fits right in, im not 100% certain if itll work on my hatch. has any one tried this

these chassis have been around for 20 years now

As long as it's a 6 bolt it will bolt in place of the factory open diff. 5 bolt diffs will require matching half shafts.

whoa whoa sry, im asking because i dont know. forums are the 1st place ive tried to find this out. because im sure people on here would know more then me. i just wanted some info about it before i took this guys word for it and it didnt work.
and that would lead me to my next question he told me it would bolt right up. is that true or do i have to change axles or anything

EDIT: and sry for this being a repost not familiar with forums i just browse through them sometimes but thanks i found what i was looking for appreciate your time

You've been told to search. This is relevant to no one because we all knew it in 1992 when the J30 was introduced. We've discussed it since then over a thousand times. Continuing to ask remedial questions will just piss people off.

i already apologized for reposting and found wat i need. you trying to down on me for asking a question isnt any more nessesary than me reposting. ok people have done this before and has been discussed but i didnt and i was told to search and i did thus me saying i found what i needed before

np i was gonna do the j30 but one of my friends decided to go welded and sold me his s13 vlsd
