I came across a crap load of JDM S15 Silvia seats, not the ones with the SPEC R embroidered on them. ....see the attached pic. Just wondering if these will be a direct bolt on to the US Spec 240SX 89-98 models as they are a direct bolt on to the JDM 89-98 S13, 180SX and S14 here in Japan.
If they are direct bolt ons, then I will buy all 7 pairs!!

Just curious, if possible how much are they being sold for?
I just wanted to know how much people selling JDM parts in Japan are making.

its the same as fitting an s14 seats.
they are comfortable, but has less lateral support than an s14.
r32 gtr's on the other hand, is perfect. :)

Whoa...I didn't' think they were so popular. Okay, I snatched all 7 pairs this morning! Looking to sell them for about $300-$350, not sure yet. they will be going into the container next week. I still have alot of space in the container so I'm just going to keep looking for nick nacks to fill it up! I'm looking for the SPEC R S15 seats since they are the coolest with Spec R logo embroidered on the seatback...my search continues!

WHY?
he's gauging an interest as well as making sure we can use them. no need to move it. maybe to chat. but who cares. he's not selling anything right now.

hey are the steering wheels in the S15 interchangeable with either the S13 or S14 (dont know if there is an actual difference in appearence but i was just curious)??
can u get 180sx tail lights?? (not type-x)
off subject: but...u know the silver 240sx emblem in the "passenger window" (of 91) is it 180sx in the window in japan??

Not sure whether the S15 steering wheel will fit the S13
I will check on the silver sticker/emblem `180SX` for the rear quarter panel windows, not really sure if they are actually stickers or etched in the window. Will keep you advised. Worse case....I will pull the windows off the car!
Kouki 180SX tail lights are too expensive..even used! Figure $350-390 which inlcudes the center garnish and bottom trim. But I did buy a set for me
:D
That Panasonic bike.....really never noticed it....my eyes were glued on parts....parts....parts!

Isn't it a sticker behind the window?

yeah its PART of the window, as in you need to pull the whole window to get that 180sx.
lots of work. breaks easily if pulled wrong

Okay, the "180SX" in the rear quarter windows are actually part of the glass as "DOUSAN36" mentioned in this post. I thought there might be an interest in them so I will collect as many sets as I can. I came across at least 15 180SXs this afternoon. The yard's owner took a pair out for me in less than 5 minutes...some weird wire looking thing which was actually a string razor?? You'll need to order new trim from Nissan that surrounds the quarter glass.
Dousan_PG
03-28-2003, 07:59 AM
sounds good tokyo connection, yeah they have to use a guitar string type to take it off. for anyone who buys one HAVE A PRO DO IT!
anyways, damn brother, you get all the goods! haha. kewl kewl
do you still have the same 180sx? or did you get another one? or a new bumper? nice. very clean. do you partake in any motorsports? (Grip, drift, gymkhana, etc)

Dousan36--I do a little of everything from drifting to running 1/4 mile. Can't wait to go nuts in Cali! Does anyone know if Laguna Seca supports drifting or the 1/4 mile drag?...since I'll be living about 7 miles from there!...........yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!:D
Anybody going to donate their S14 seats to Wei240 as he suggests?

im selling my s14 when i get my brides
tokyo
nah not at laguna. u have to be pretty good to drift there, track is small
but of course if the 'back of your car comes out' there's no tmuch you can ;)
actually when u move you'll most likely end up track drifting at:
irwindale speedway (irwindale-so cali)
buttonwillow (by bakersfield-central cali)
willowsprings (by lancaster-so cali)
thunderhill (north of bay area-nor cali)
chceck out.
www.speedtrialsusa.com
i think that's the site. speedtrials
they organize events and usually always have a 'car control' group (aka drift group)
also a lot is organized thru Club4ag.com
check that sites' events section
drag strips? they are all ove,r you wont have a problem finding a drag strip. lots of 1/4 and 1/8 mile ones.
moving to cali huh? cool
i might be in the monterey area often. parents live near santa cruz.
anyways, i cant wait to drift LS. just like GT3 hahahaha
u getting another s13 out here?
peace,
aaron

someone mentioned R32 GT-R seats... i'm guessing these would be extra expensive but do you have any idea how much you could get a set to the US for?
drift freaq
03-28-2003, 03:52 PM
qoute[nah not at laguna. u have to be pretty good to drift there, track is small]
Aaron what are you talking about. Laguna Seca is larger track. Granted its not the 2.7 miles requirement for Formula One but is somewhere in the neighborhood of 2.2-2.4 miles. Thats why they do Indy Cars there and its also why they used to run Can Am cars there back in the 70's and early eighties before the class dissapeared.
The reason you do not see drifting at Seca is two things. One its a high speed course less turns than Sears Point , Willow Springs or Buttonwillow.
Two is its a expensive course because it has so many premier SCCA sports cars events and Indy cars Plus Formula One Motorcycles and SuperBikes.

03-28-2003, 04:07 PM
oh i meant not as wide as one might think
the wall is closer then the video games make it seems. its small in that way, not length wise. i cant wait to run LS. so excited.

one thing i forgot to add in my post asking about GT-R32 seats... do they fit onto the S13 chassis or fo you need new frame rails and junk?
Dousan_PG
03-28-2003, 04:14 PM
they fit in s13/14 except for one bolt. i think you have to drill a hole or weld an extension i forgot. search r32 and you might find out. or skyline seat
its been discussed before

i can get a SR20DE stateside thats RWD???
and where can i get a Kph gauge???
(pure Kph gauge...not combo)
Dousan_PG
03-28-2003, 10:24 PM
SR20DE is available thru importres. just ask any engine guy can get it
see for importing engines you cant just thrwo it in a container, there is MORE paperwork $$$ on it. for tokyo connection to do that woul require a lot mre worrk and customs stuff
a individul gauge?
apex rev/speed meter shows KPH and dose a lot more then that. cost isnt bad too
i havent see nmuch for a GAUGE because why? the gauge cluster works fine. no need for overkill. and if you dont have a gauge cluster most likely you are race car so the speed wouldnt matter.
a indivual guage seems ridiculous to me .but oh well, im sure T.C. can dig something up if he wanted

its good to know this won't be coming in till June, I'll have a car by then. Umm on things to bring, I am still in love with the S15 steering wheel, anyone know how hard it would be to install it with the airbag?
Also bring some shiftknobs, those are easy to toss in.
I don't know how much wieght matters but some rims would be nice.
If you were to find a stock kouki kit you could sell it for some moola, oh ya and how bout that hot road spoiler but I doubt you'll come across that.

I live about 10 miles from there. As far as 1/4 goes, they only do 1/8 mile track. If I remeber right you have to be under 25 years of age as well, since it is like "Beat the Heat" kind of thing but they do allow you to grudge as well. I think it's gonna open back up pretty soon, can't remember the schedule.

Just got a right hand seat for me (drivers side) there needs to be an extension welded to the outer rear corner of the rail to bolt the fourth bolt down....does that make sense....
The other 3 line up. Got the seat for $150. Already modified to fit the 180SX.
Should be the same process for the back left on the left hand seat for you state side guys.
