Clear body kits.

Think about it.

So much potential.

Like this, but a body kit...

It'll be all the rage.

I've said too much.

Like the Sho-Um Clear Acrylic Hoods or like an RC car body?

Just like that.

However, a lot of ABS is clear too.

Flashy Paint job + Clear Aero = Next JDM Craze.

You just watch.

This actually sounds sick. Maybe like mask off some parts and have designs half clear, half not. Good idea

If you had a clear body kit, from far away it would look like you are high off the ground and missing a front and rear bumper. Then close up it would still kinda look like that except you can see all the ugliness of a bare chassis. ie. the bumper support, wiring, etc.

Not my cup of tea at all. I think a clear hood is already almost too far.

Ah it would shine in the sun the same as the rest of your body. If you were baller enough to run clear aero you could probably afford to paint the bare chassis underneath and such.

If only there was a model to showcase my vision lol.

LOL. I GUESS, but ehh. It just doesn't seem right in my mind. I guess I just need to see it with my own eyes.

you could paint the underbody gold. or pink. or something else a 240 owner would probably do if you could see it.

you could hang all of your plushie keychains BEHIND the rear bumper. you know, "drift charms".

im with ya on this one. maybe it they were like tinted with differtent colors... that might be cool. but i think clear would be a bitch to make look good since you would have to make the chassi and bumper supports etc, look good.

It's obviously not for the faint of heart.

I'd rock it and drop little Japanese guys pants.

I was saying last night at the meet I want a clear hood and clear valve cover, lol.

Now Im gonna blow your mind.

you know those cheesy little plastic signs that are flat and clear. With the light along the bottom of them, and a pattern isground/sanded into them. With the light on it glows?

Clear body kit with little intior light strip along the top edge. Then the whole thing lightly sanded so the thing slightly glows at night!! Or cut designs or patterns in.

But your all fucked when I finish my top secret glow in the dark fiber glass recipe.

Beat that.......

Been done. They were pretty much the craze back in 2000-ish? I remember seeing it on NOPI for Civics and Eclipses and other popular cars of that era. I never got to see one in person.

I would imagine there would be no rigidity to the body part as even carbon hoods have some kind of frame work to them.

That S2k Doesn't look too bad. I love the mechanics of it all. All the body panels have been cleaned and smoothed. Maintaining it must be a bitch.

Then again, I'm sure it would never see any track. So its okay.

but if some awesome 240 owner tried, I think the techy folks would digg the shit out of it. Otherwise, SUCK MY DICK.
