Spec:
92 KADE around 177xxx

Problem:
-Rpm unstable when idl, drop about 200 ~ 300 then back to normal then drop again.

-When I or my passenger open the door this will happen, also when i switch the fan to 3 or 4 the rpm drops.

I think:
Bad alternator...

Had replace:
-injector
-spark plugs
-o2
-fuel filter
-thermostates
-new battery

Turn on your lights. Open the door, turn the radio on, stuff like that. If your lights dim when you do these things, you should have your Alt. tested. That "searching" the motor does can also happen with a dirty throttle body, or IAC valve, give those a check too.

Please explain your thoughts on this. I'm curious as to why you think the alternator would not affect the electrical system of the car.

As for the OP - unbolt the charging lead off the alternator (carefully, don't ground it) and test for voltage on the stud with the engine running. Voltage should be at least 13.6V.

Where was the dirty connector located? I might be having a similar problem.
